Sm/l/ash chap/Capt: Imperium's sword + Master of Vigilance?

So.... another thread on slash captains got me thinking. A chaplain. Jump Pack variety. 3 Attacks base, 5 with Imperium's sword and shock assault. Add master of vigilance as 2nd warlord trait. Take benediction of fury.

So Master of Vigilance means natural 6s to hit give 1 mortal wound. Benediction of fury means unmodified 6s to wound give 1 mortal. So on natural hit and wound rolls alone, that would be (on average) 1.53 mortal wounds on top of anything else. So, with a source for re-roll hits (e.g. litany of hate or a captain), this would be slightly higher.  So, if we take this chaplain and put it against, say, a gravis profile target that is (without re-rolls or modifiers of any kind) an average of 5.56 unsaved damage + 1.53 mortal wounds for a total of 7.09 average total unsaved damage, before factoring in whirlwind of rage. If that is factored in, then you will on average get about 1 extra hit and the chance of yet another mortal wound via a 6+ wound roll. I really like the idea of possibly generating mortal wounds via both hit and wound rolls. Very random, but if it goes big it could go really REALLY big :)

If we do the same with a captain armed with a teeth of terra, things get interesting. Using the same WL traits you get 9 attacks base on the charge. Those 9 attacks generate 1.5 natural 6s, = 1.5 mortal wounds.  Against the same gravis target that is 6.67 unsaved damage + 1.5 mortal wounds on average for a total of 8.17 total unsaved damage, before factoring in whirlwind of rage.

I'm thinking this combo could make for an interesting solo-seek-and-destroy character, or might even go nicely on a company of chapter champion. In particular. 6 attacks on the charge with Imperium's sword means on average 1 mortal wound. Against the same gravis target a chapter champion with the blade of triumph relic would do 8.33 unsaved damage + 1 mortal wound for 9.333 total unsaved damage, and that is before factoring in whirlwind of rage.

What do you all think? Too much investment in one character? Is master of vigilance worth it?
