Archadeus Posted April 30, 2021 Share Posted April 30, 2021 I would say the second, buffed up paladins do an insane amount of work and are alot more durable than 2 dreadnaughts that disappear when looked at. I put gate on the chaplain and Sanctuary on the paladins and i dropped all the Psycannons for Psilencers and fit in a squad of servitors. Beat a Dark Eldar list today with it! He made some tactical errors trying to hide his army behind a big building and I was able to use my chaplains extra range, astrail aim, and gate my terminators to kill all of his hellions and over half his reavers in turn 1. From there he came at me hard and I blew up 4 of his raiders and killed all his witches in the top of turn 2. He then tried to assault my paladins with 2 of his crazy charectors (1 that fights twice, and the other that does a bunch of attacks), and a squad of incubi. I used the Masters of combat strategm and he made the mistake of fighting with his incubi first so I killed the the 4 paladins that were closest to his two charectors first and then I killed the charectors before they got to strike because it says I get to fight with a model before they are removed as a casualty. (Draigo was close by so I got to reroll to hit which helped alot) After that he was pretty upset and only had 1 raider, 3 reavers, some wracks and one 3 man squad of incubi left and i still had 1600 pts left about to wipe out most of the rest of his army. So he decided to call it. The list is really stout. I will post in just a minute but it works in every phase of the game and I can pick several different secondaries and feel comfortable getting them. I just got into the Rocky Top Rumble at the end of this month so I will run this same list there and see how it does. It does have some bad match ups but if I get to go first then maybe I can pull a win out!
