Silver Wardens by DMG Minis

Recommended Posts

First up is my Non baby carrier Silver Wardens Dread walker knight. Moveable elbow and knee joints, head options, armor options.  Even comes with blank armor. 1 large and one slightly smaller hammer. 1 sword (probably another sometime soon as an upgrade)

Excellent work! Theoretically speaking, would these parts be compatible with a regular NDK if I were to kitbash both into one?

hmm - not certain there - it might take some scaling, cutting and filing here and there as it was never my intention for  them to mesh.  But thats what kitbacshing is all about eh!?!

- in the pic above you can see how much bigger mine is than theirs.  Some of my patrons are choosing to print him at about 85-90% but I havent seen a pic yet

  • 1 month later...

So last month I made this diorama for my Patreon n honor of the upcoming TS/GK batte box.  This is my Brother Captain vs a TS Exalted Sorcerer on a disc.

Captains weapons are meant to represent the 2 relevant relics, Destroyer of Cry'yllix and Doom Glaive

They're very nice models, printed well too! But for GK, I'm not overly fond of them. Maybe they'll look better painted?

They look like they have chaos eye symbols all over them and A pre heresy thousand son helmet. The evil looking skull, extra spiky iron halo and the one on fire has the same pose as abadon the dispoiler, make them look a little too evil for me aha

that comparison picture with regular strike - looks like the guys are cca "truescale" yes? are all your models truescale?

They are a good bit taller than the GW kit yes.  Not exactly sure what "truescale" is supposed to mean

Fair enough.  Even as they are GW doesnt not like them either, so I can't make them more 1:1.  As you may or may not know they are in the middle of a purge, so its even worse ATM

Nice looking minis there Brother Cryminy:thumbsup:  Scaling and proportions are good. The symbols and the script give them a slight Thousand Sons/Wordbearers feel, but I understand the reasoning there and I don't see a problem there. They can be easily modified.... should anyone wish to do so:whistling:

The posing of the figures gives me the impression of fighting against the wind, which is a good touch. I'm especially drawn to the bases..... nice bases:yes:

thx for reply. I think I can make out of that and will be purchasing these STLs.

and yea - "truescale" can be subject to interpretation.. most general would be - a space marine would be cca "head and shoulders" taller than a "regular human" (180cm?) - e.g. if the lets say human astra militarum models reach to mid or upper chest of a SM model - considered truescale. primaris are cca truescaled vs astra militarums..

however... these days it is here and there with current "size creep" - like sisters being somehow huge humans now if placed to guard model

I think I got pretty close then...  it was an accident, I just wanted them taller than the kit

those of you who dont care about truescale... kill me :) BUT now THAT is how a transhuman SHOULD look like next to a regular man. in my opinion this brings to tabletop the feel of epic and heroism. hordes - lots of smaller dudes/bugs/fungus/whatever opposed by smaller number of elite larger transhumans/terminatorobots/goldenbananas/etc :D

GREAT WORK Cryminysakes!
