Played this list against a friend's Admech (lots of chicken walkers, a few of the no LOS gunboats, lots of kataphrons).

Mission was #23 from Chapter Approved 2020 (5 objectives in the midfield, hammer and anvil style of deployment).

I dropped the relic from the Dialogus before the game, decided one hymn per turn was enough.

Things that worked well:

The Argent Shroud order trait is excellent. The re-roll hit or wound roll was incredibly helpful and the advance/shoot meant I could run the girls up to the middle of the board or advance the retributors between to clear objectives.

The 20 sister blob squad with multimeltas was awesome, kept them in range of an objective all game to keep the Defenders of the Faith up. Between this and the 3+/4++ (Celestine and Dialogus hymn) the girls were super tanky and bunkered Celestine, the Canonness, Palatine and Dialogus while they marched up the center of the board.

The Repentia coming in from reserve, just wish I had the points to run the mistress with them.

Seraphim, they come in, shoot, shoot some more. The increased strength to handflamers was great and the unit was an annoyance for my opponent's backlines.

The dominions were solid, although I still might be using them too aggressively and treating them as too much of a throw away unit. At 100pts though if they strip some wounds or pop a vehicle they've done their job. The 6" vanguard move was excellent and worked well to get the heavy flamer rets into position.

Things I might change:

Swap the penitent for mortifiers. The extra bullets coming from the mortifiers can contribute right from turn one. Although the advancing/charging Penitent Engines are still quite scary. Likely I would drop the combimelta from the dom squad and maybe a stormbolter off the BSS blob to free up some points. and upgrade to mortifiers. Would still need to play more games to see what I think though, I already have the old penitent, so finally seeing them on the table is great, whereas the mortifiers I would need to buy.

What were the things you struggled with vs the Ad Mech in your game?

Picking secondaries, I chose "Raise banners" hoping to have the small squads of BSS do them, but they just got shot off objectives.

Overaggressive Dominion usage: I went first, advanced them out of the rhino to shoot his close combat chicken walkers, both squads of doms plinked off some wounds then died the next turn, goodbye 9 meltaguns.  Discussing this with my opponent, we think this was still the right play, had I kept them in their respective rhinos he would have destroyed them anyways and then tied up the doms/rets in combat with his chicken walkers.

A small part of me missed having a backline.  This could be due more to a playstyle change (in 8th I ran the standard 3 exos backed up by canonness), so it felt like I wasn't able to start dealing with his backfield tanks until turn 2/turn 3.

Loadouts for the canoness/palatine.  Unsure if the relic bolt pistol was worth it on the palatine or if the relic for extra hymns on the dialogus would be better.  Canoness only shot her inferno pistol once...but it was useful to clear her from melee and free her up to charge/tie up something else.

Also we learned that lascannons just murder paragons.  The d3+3 damage or whatever they are, that even with the damage reduction, almost every shot that gets through kills a paragon.

It kinda feels like you spent 3CP to take coteaz here and I'm not totally sure that's worth it.
