Seemed to be news in the Ork forum, so thought it might be worth a post here. Looks like a fantastic set to me. Apologies if this should be elsewhere

Great box as mentioned in the ork forum. Also over 500 points there too which is great.

Very impressive if so and I’m sure it will sell well. This looks to be the first of the new combat patrols that includes new models. 4/5 units of new models is bound to be popular.

Between boyz, Necron warriors and the Krieg models it does make me hopeful that armies such as asuryani and tyranids will get their core troops updated when their turn comes around.

Oooo that's a good combat patrol. My coworker was looking to get orks as his second army and was mad when the snagga box sold out (he was in que early and at like 9 min after US GW was sold out). That warboss in Mega Armor was the model he wanted the most, this will be a good alternative that should be easier to get his hands on.

This is top of my purchase list now, can't wait to get my dirty green hands on it.

I did have a concerning thought that it might be like the slaves to darkness set where they are all on a mixed sprue and unavailable elsewhere, but the fact that the boys repeat (including the nobs) and the dred is in there means it could only possibily be the megaboss and the deffkoptas that could be mixed, which seems unlikely.

I'm pretty sure they are all separate kits and will hopefully get separate box releases (as I need more boys). Although I could see the megaboss being this box only for a while - like the Sisters Palatine I think?

I like the look of the set, but I don't think I could cram any more Deff Dreads into an army and I have an emergency supply of Deff Koptas to paint up should I need them so I don't desperately need the new kit. It will be difficult to choose between this and the Kill Team box.

I still have an entire army of orks in its boxes, and did not have any plans of working on them anytime soon, but this box certainly tempts me...

Never! I will take all my wh40k models, built and unbuilt, to the grave! In fact, I will donate my body to science to free up room in my coffin.

"The Nova Terra Interregnum has been remembered unfairly by those few who remember it at all. True, many malcontents, provocateurs and petty lordlings flocked to its banner when it seceded. But its attempts to contain the aggressive expansion of the Ecclesiarchy were born from an honest desire to uphold those values at the hart of the Great Crusade. It is ironic that the last gasp of the Emperor's true vision was finally throttled at the hands of those who fought in His divine name, on the planet that once reminded our Lord of 'Urf, long ago...'"

To be honest, with GW's pricing, that'll be the most valuable part of your will!

In fact I often wonder if WHW's Hall of Miniatures is worth more than the building and land it stands on...

I know the codex isn’t out yet but I’m aware people have knowledge of it already, however I’m due to get a beast snagga box, will this combat patrol work well with it or should I just focus on squigly bits

I've still got an old Start Collecting box of Ork's in my cupboard and I'm already eyeing up this one. Curse you GW.

The snagga boss aura will only work with snaggas, so you'll want a each sub-sub-faction supported properly if you do get the normal patrol. Clan wise, snakebites and goffs work pretty well for either normal or snaggas for melee so you stay cohesive with the paint scheme.

Well this is annoying.

I have never started an Ork army, despite being jealous of how fun they are to play, because I was never keen on the majority of the infantry models.

However, I really like the new Boyz, and will end up with Kommandos as part of Kill Team.

This is making it much, much harder to say no......

As someone who currently has no Orks this is intriguing!

I was seriously considering starting them anyway, the Kommandos are ace and I can't wait to get some of them. This is very tempting...

Really depends on pricing of stuff. Beast snaggas got the codex with it too. But yeah seems like a good deal. I prefer beast snaggas so this interests me less but I might pick it up or just go full on beast snaggas.

That's what I am seeing, the other 'character' is the Nob leading the boyz.

Still pretty good.

Seven years ago when I first started collecting my first army, Orks, this box was *exactly* what I wanted (minus the lootas which quickly became my favorite unit). I think that this box is a great entry point, and I hope it helps some brand new hobbyists get started.
