Triple Ctan list questions

Hi everyone,

Since when we select our transcendent ctan powers, the same power cannot be selected again unless all other power were selected at least once.

Can someone confirm if my understanding is correct and if the following logic works?:

I can select two powers I wish for one of my ctan and then randomly draw the others, since they are randomly draw and not selected if I happen

to draw a power I already have on another ctan I can keep it right?

every turn, I can then switch one of the ctan powers with the stratagem to one that I want to the point of having the two powers that I want

on the 3 ctans as in my opinion the restriction for duplicate ctan power only apply when the power are generated at beginning of the battle right?

Hi! Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure you either have to roll all of them randomly, or choose all of them with no duplicate. I believe the rule speaks of c'tan units in a way that means all of them must be treated the same way. Edited by Miek

I don't think the rule specifies how it works in this case. It just says that if you're choosing, you can't choose something another C'tan knows. I think you can potentially roll it up randomly, and there's nothing at all to say you can't use the strat to get a power that another C'tan knows.

The stratagem sure let's you change stuff, but for the initial powers (from the web):

"You can either roll one D6 to generate each power randomly (re-rolling duplicate results), or you can select which powers each unit knows."

English is not my first language so I may be misinterpreting, but I think it means you can either roll each power for each unit, or choose powers for each unit (not choose for some and roll for others).

Might be ambiguous, perhaps a FAQ is needed?
