The bonuses apply because it applies to detachment, not the army. Seeing how G-man is in a detachment of his own, nothing breaks (except for the minds of the opponent playing against you, haha). So these Custodes are still running around with their Obsec and 4+ invuln. With that out of the way, here's the idea. Secondaries: Engage on all Fronts, Dominate, 3rd one (depending on match-up specific, or mission secondary). Put the SC in TDA in deep-strike along with one squad of venatari, and the allarus custodians. These will be used on a case by-case basis. Then you have an anvil of the 1 shield squad, with two Sagittarium units, G-man with the vexilla magnifica. The other venatari squad is on the other point, preferably behind obscuring terrain. If the terrain doesn't favour you, you can put both squads in deepstrike (the points permit it). Due to G-mans ability to give +1 to charges and advances, re-roll 1's, you just advance that blob up the board, with the shield squad taking the front, and one Sagittarium squad in the back. Theoretically in turn 1, G-man's aura of 12" should be enough to make maximum use of both squads guns. Weather the storm in turn 1, and deploy the :cussstorm that is in reserve - the banner has the raiment of sorrows so on a 4+ the unit that dies can shoot or fight before you remove it! One squad of venatari should be on a point close enough to G-man, while the Allarus Custodian, SC in TDA and the other venatari squad would harass a point that is the weakest. Employ the Dread light of the Moraides strategem to get some charges off, and you are laughing. Whack whatever squads are there off the point, and park the Venatari on that point for pretty much the rest of the game. Use the terminator squad that came from reserve as a "bodyguard" unit and advance them to a point with the SC in tow in turn 3. As for the other elements - the guard should be mid-way holding that point, with the banner, one squad of Sagittarium (in range of their disintegrator weapon option), contesting the other side of the board where your terminators are located. At this point you should have majority control of the points for the domination secondary. If you didn't put the second squad of venatari in reserve, advance those to the point of the board where your other squad of venatari are directly parallel to to get a point. Weather the storm Turn 2. Turn 3, play clean up, by employing a diagonal pincer manoeuvre from the terminators from deepstrike and the anvil diagonally parallel to your terminators. Charge, leaving the shield squad on the point on the anvil's side, using G-man and the banner as beatsticks on that side, with the SC in TDA and the terminator squad to crush the rest of the remaining force on the other. Hold the points and weather the storm Turn 3. Oh, and if your Venatari have LoS, employ superior fire patterns on them. Turn 4-5 - hold points, using both venatari squads to either keep the points or to contest new ones with the two blobs running around. Theoretically both the terminator blob and the anvil blob. FAQ's - why run Gulliman? In my mind he serves as a better second SC, on top of giving 3CP if he's the warlord. You can still give your shield captain a WL trait and a relic through open the vaults and the ten thousand heroes strat. Which is a fair trade-off if you ask me. He also gives you +1 to your charge and advances, which considering the assault weapon of the Sagittarium directly plays to their strength - aggressive board rush towards the front.
