C'tan Powers & Psychic Power vs The Bodyguard Rule

An Attack is something that uses a weapon along with a hit roll and a wound roll. There's no defintion of ranged attack in the core rules but it seems to just be a short form of 'attack with ranged weapon'. Psychic powers and C'tan powers don't have weapon profiles.

Transdimensional Thunderbolt has its own version of look out sir built into it because its not a ranged attack and doesn't use the core version of that rule.

From the book:

There are five types of ranged weapon: Assault, Heavy, Rapid Fire, Grenade and Pistol. A weapon’s type can impact the number of attacks it can make.

I'd say only stuff using these profiles (in general) count as ranged attacks. Psychic powers and CTan powers are their own thing and don't count as ranged attacks. Some psychic powers can 100% target characters ignoring Look Out Sir (mind raid?).
