This topic serves as a place to discuss all of the products that BL will be publishing soon. The topic was originally started by Izlude, but many of the older posts, including the original post, have been hidden because they are irrelevant and their continued presence made it difficult for people to work their way through the topic to find the currently relevant content.

We're still discussing how we can improve this topic format (starting here), so this is just a placeholder for now.

Personally I really hope Abnett is NOT writing a Primarchs book but that is, selfishly, because I have not bought into those as a "series"

Will Abnett have to wait until everyone else is finished before he can write the last book, or did he write the last book first and everyone else had to work backwards to allow him the finish he wants??

Given the meetings and planning involved, I doubt either of these is the case. It's probably been planned out pretty thoroughly.

Alpharius probably. After his take on imperial fists saw them get wiped out I don't want him to tackle Dorn!

Well apparently at Black Library Live Dan Abnett confirmed his (possible to alter) schedule for the next 18-24 months as being Penitent, HH, Interceptor City, HH.

I hope Abnett get's a Primarchs novel, that would be a pretty sweet addition to that particular series. If he does, and looking at that scheduled running order it makes sense it would be, I'm torn on who though... Horus or Alpharius/Omegon?

I'm half way through my re-re-re-listen of Legion and it's just so damn good... absolutely begging for some kind of continuation so that's my preferred option, please give us more Alpha Legion Abnett! happy.png

Looking forward to Interceptor City - I loved Double Eagle, bit random but does Suffragette City by David Bowie pop into anyone elses head when they read Interceptor City? ...

If there is another HH related thing ( and to be honest I did not hear him give this line-up that you described) you'd think it's a Primarchs novel.

I wasn't at BL Live but was repeating what I read on Twitter, specifically Black Librarium Twitter feed. Did you hear Abnett give a different list?

I'm not sure if by Black Library Live you're referring to the recent BL Weekender.

At that event during his seminar ( which was very good btw) I did not hear him say anything about what's coming up.

Of course, conversations are had outside of seminars as well so who knows what he said there right?

Doh! Yes I mean the BL weekender in November. Really would love to get to one of those in future.

Well folks you could knock me down with a feather. I just was perusing the coming soon section on our beloved BL site when I noticed the forthcoming Celestine Limited Edition is going to be on sale at the princely sum of £34 and 99 new pence!
Folks said BL would never drop their pricing! This is indeed a surprising, and much welcome, development! I for one sincerely hope this pays off. It looks to be a stunning edition and great to see them respond to the fans.
The prices for future editions may well go up again but I can see art or other extras to justify going to £40 again.
Well done BL!

That's because the book itself is not that "big", I doubt it has more than one hundred pages.

How do you know that? Usually a short book is clearly labelled as a novella.

Dunno, based on the render it looks thin. Plus the price.

But I could be wrong, of course.

The Primarch series are all pretty thin/more like novellas and the LE for them have all been £40 so it’s still a bit of a price drop.

I'm assuming Novella (~120pg) rather than Primarch/Beast Arises(~200-220pg), as opposed to big book (350-400+pg).

I think it’s a book, a normal book. Novellas are always clearly stated as such. The books do vary in length but have always hit £40. The Primarch series is £40 because of the box, not the book.
Could be wrong, I’ve a habit of being so! But doesn’t stop me from guessing!

I remember it was described as a novella. I’ll see if there’s anything from the BL weekender about it.

April's releases are up: https://www.blacklib...ming-soon/april

Of key interest is the new Peter Fehervari novel, Requiem Infernal, the BL book I'm most looking forward to in 2019.

The Adepta Sororitas of the Last Candle have stood vigil over their sanctuary world for centuries, striving to decipher their founder's tormented visions. Outsiders are unwelcome… yet still they come.

Decimated by an encounter with a lethal xenos entity, the survivors of an elite Astra Militarum company have journeyed to the Candleworld in search of healing, escorted by a woman who is no stranger there – Sister Hospitaller Asenath Hyades, who turned her back on the order decades ago.

As the seekers near the sect's bastion, malign forces begin to stir among the planet's storm-wracked spires, but the most insidious shadows lie in their own souls.

A new Steve Parker Deathwatch novel is exciting for a bunch of folks as well, I think?

Wait a second ... is that a novel with T'au that's not written by Kelly? I didn't believe that's still possible. I think I'll have to read that one even if it's mainly about DW wrecking T'au faces. :D

Fehervari looks interesting.

I'm not interested in Deathwatch myself at all, but if you're putting them up against Tau and make several references to heavy involvement from the Inquisition, my interest is piqued more.

Solar War still not up for pre-ordering. I wonder what they're planning behind the scenes, something's up. We already know it comes out in March as per the BL weekender.

Dare one think HH Weekender?

I hope Fehervari makes BL lots of money off that hardback so he can get more contracts. He's great and the idea of him doing intrigue, horror, and Sororitas has me very excited. I haven't read Parker's original Deathwatch, but it's definitely on the list and I've liked what little I've read of his. Also:

"Talon Squad return to action, hutning for a missing inquisitor..."

I know running a website that complex isn't easy, but spelling errors and missing books abound. New to Paperback is incorrect, and Bestsellers is still on their front page despite never being updated. Methinks they need a web editor or something.

Have you read Fire Caste? It’s about Tau as much as this DW probably will be (as in T’au are the antagonist to the Guard) but it’s really really good.

Anyone notice the new eBook price increasing coming in April? Looks like they are going from 15.99 to 16.99 USD.

Fehervari book is, alongside Anarch, THE most exciting release FOR ME in 2019 - whoop whoop!

Amazon UK have got HH:TSoT - The Solar War down for release in May listed as a paperback which has to be wrong as the price is defo hardback level.

Yeah the regular hardback is due in May, that is known.

The Limited Edition book in March though. I think they're planning a surprise pre-release.
