Day of Ascension is definitely on the to buy list. However the language in the article is typical BL/GW speak, we are told we will see it very soon, and then that it actually releases in 2022, with no date given.

However, I am gonna guess it will be January at the latest since otherwise they wouldnt be previewing the book already.

Various retailers have it listed for Feb 3, 2022

Nothing for AoS and I don't understand why they are not publishing the other two recently announced Horror titles now during the Halloween/October season. Retailers have them listed for January/February.

Steel Tread straight to paperback, no hardback

It might follow the Imperial Guard/Space Marine Conquest series style. No hardbacks, just straight to paperbacks.

The weekly BL email shows a shot of the coming soon section with artwork we haven’t seen before. Looks like there’s novels/novellas/audiodramas featuring Krieg and Gretchin coming at some point in the future.

Cain's Last Stand audio in two weeks, finally. Still no sign of Ahriman 3, the next G&F, GG or Wraight's Wolves 1 & 2, let alone Grim Repast, but instead we're getting.... Priests of Mars.

Might as well finish a trilogy before starting on another, but oh well.

The Accursed is releasing as well, as the only Halloween-ish release of the year. Go figure.

I’m definitely getting both audiobooks!

From a strictly sales perspective, I would say it makes sense they switch back and forth.  People are more likely to pick up the first book in a series from a popular author than the third book from another.

The Dan Abnett short story in the Inquisition anthology is a new one!

Lepidopterophobia by Dan Abnett

Taking place in the epic Ravenor vs. Eisenhorn storyline, this tale sees inquisitorial protégé Medea Betancore scouring the darkest corners of Queen Mab for an esoteric text. She finds what she is looking for, and much more besides, in an obscure bookshop in a dark corner of the city. Here, she is brought face to face with her greatest fears made manifest.

I thought you meant available *now* rather than pre-order; you got my hopes up.

The Inquisition anthology apparently has a linking theme; with some of them having already been published everywhere, I’m hoping it’s a better one than just Inquisitresses. No objection to that per se, but more recent anthologies have hung together way better than that

Going by the price, it's exactly the same as other Horror hardback novels so there's a pretty high chance it's going to be a hardcover.

Absolutely love the e-shorts horror covers. I'm getting them all, most excited for Ozga and Strachan.

Not a single Black Library announcement at Warhammer Day, huh? For feth's sake, they really treat Black Library like their unwanted stepchild these days.

Thought it would happen. When they announced the Warhammer Day, the BL logo was missing so I didn't even bother checking it out.

I’m not surprised. All but the most direct tie-ins are revealed either on the community website or the BL streams these days. I think we’re due for another stream sometime in the next month or so.

We're getting The Wolftime next week. I enjoyed the previous two entries so will be getting this one as well.

Strangely, the video mentioned Da Gobbo's Revenge by Brooks but the article kinda ignored it.

Da Gobbo

https://www.warhamme...he-red-harvest/

An Orks Novella

An origin story unlike any other, Da Gobbo’s Revenge plumbs the very depths of the ork psyche to show you just what happens when you kick the wrong grot one too many times.

READ IT BECAUSE

Mike Brooks proves once again he’s the master of ork kultur. You’ll witness the rise of one of the most enduring and, dare we say it, lovable legends in all of orkdom.

THE STORY

Fingwit is a grot.

Food, riches, prestige, some form of personal safety all of these are alien concepts to him, stuck firmly as he is at the bottom of the high, kunnin', and brutally violent heap that constitutes ork society, where to be a grot is to suffer endless torment.

However, when the Mek whom Fingwit unwillingly serves leads him and his fellow grots in a boarding action of an Imperial vessel as part of a vast void war, Fingwit is presented with an opportunity to become not just a hero but a legend... Da Red Gobbo.
