Usefulness of Veil Of Time

I’m preparing for my first ever tournament and considering which powers to take for Tiggy. On the face of it Veil Of Time seems super powerful, especially the fight first dynamic. However when you factor in the various FAQ’s and the amount of lists that have access to various Fight First tricks, it seems quite situational.

Have I got this wrong? Is it worth taking?

The FAQ makes it much more valuable than before.  Having BOTH 'fights first' and 'fights last' effects cancels both out, leaving units to fight normally.  Units fighting normally start with the non-active player.  Meaning that a unit under the effects of VoT would be striking BEFORE any enemy unit that had not charged that turn.

 

It's not a mandatory power by any means, but if you're taking Tigurius it's the best 3rd choice power to give him after Psychic Fortress and Might of Heroes.

 

You also cant dismiss the extra bonus of re-rolling charges/advances.
