Phosphex and Crawling Fire

Hello there!

I recently had a game against Ultramarines, where my Leviathan discharged its Phosphex on a Unit of  Invictarus Suzeiran.

After the first Blast marker landed on top of them, i moved it up to 2 inches to maximise the models hit.

Then i flipped the following markers, accordingly because of the multiple Barrages rule - after the flip, i am allowed to move it up to 2 inches again, because of Crawling Fire, am i right?

Because the Crawling Fire rule doesn`t state, that it would only affect the first Blast marker.

Now my opponent and his buddy claimed, that it would only count for the first marker, because of the Barrage rule...

We played it their way and i only hit a total of 4, thanks to bad flipping.

I'm pretty sure, that the weapon rule itself overrules the Barrage Rule in case of positioning the Blast marker.

Maybe he just didn't want to lose the whole squad...

But if i'm wrong, i appologise - not only for playing it wrong all that time, but for using this weapon in general! xD

What's your take on this? =]

The Crawling Fire rule states "After the blast marker for this weapon is placed...". And when shooting multiple barrages, you place each blast marker. So, yes, you can move each blast up to two inches.

Yupp, the rule is just like this.

Phosphex barrage is still horrible effective.

Ya as everyone has chimed in to say, crawling fire is extremely strong with multiple barrage shots. It's important to note that crawling fire only kicks in if you can use it to cover more models than your initial hit, so you can't just use it to have a more optimal position for subsequent flips. Even still, a hit from the initial shot means any scatters go like, 1" off.
