Tul'var Sept - WIP

I had planned to start a Tau killteam with a mind to start a 40k army in the new year. I traded some pile of potential (read:shame) dark Eldar for some tau, but the person I traded with threw in a lot more than we originally agreed. I now have about 500 points worth of Tau to start me out.

I built a Fireblade from a Dark Elf Scourgerunner Chariot part and some spare firewarriors bits. The result is actually quite Wild West, gunslinger esque:

I've also figured out the scheme I'm going for, I might add some more chipping later on if I fancy it:

OOh this looks chock full of awesome potential :cool.:

as stated, I'd look at turning the banner. to face the same direction as the thematically flowing wind swept cape :tongue.:

The colour scheme looks solid, any ideas about how your going to swap/adjust those with crisis suits and stealth suits etc...

The lizard cape looks super cool, but it really throws me that the cape looks like it's blowing heavily in the wind while the banner over his head is still.

Thank you Tawnis, I think I'll twist the flag to match the cape. Should be easy enough

That's pretty much exactly my colour scheme so far, nice! :biggrin.:

It's a lovely green, very similar to Cadian green though :biggrin.:

Thanks Mithril! I have no idea how it'll change for other suits at the moment,  I may try and incorporate more black into Stealth suits and another colour for other suits but I'm not too sure at the moment. I've only got Stealth suits and a Broadside at the moment so they'll be my test bed :happy.:

5 Pathfinders and 5 Fire Warriors, nearly finished bar the bases. The chipping has come out pretty well, they look a good mix of clean armour panels and battered. I think suits, drones and vehicles will be more chipped but I'll figure that out when I get to it. I managed to get my hands on 6 metal XV22 Stealth suits which I'll need to strip but am looking forward to painting up.

Well done, these look great!, T’au have some of the coolest looking troops , that helmet design is pure win and easy to make look good (which you clearly have done here!) , the bronze makes a good contrast to the other colour choices.

Bring on more please , when your ready ..lol

Cheers, Mithril
