Lord_Ikka Posted December 19, 2021 Share Posted December 19, 2021 In the lore, the Custodes are gene-engineered to be resistant to psyker powers, because the Emperor engineered them that way to make them more effective during the Unification of Terra. There were a lot of witches and wizard-lords running around during pre-Unification times, warlords and cabals that used psyker powers to rule, and the Custodes (and to an extent the Thunder Warriors) were implanted with massive passive psychic defenses. An interesting note, the Custodes do occasionally have dreams that are supposedly sent by the Emperor, telling them things to do or warning them of future conflicts.
