Terminator power axe fist size

Hey all,

This is aimed more at the people that have built the new sculpt Chaos Space Marines and the Terminators, would someone be able to confirm if the Power Axe hand on the marines is about the same size as the Terminator hand.

Been trying to compare off Pics from the GW websize but i'm not feeling 100% about it before I plan to replace the Terminator fists with an Axe from a custom Bits site.

Cheers

I'm curious if the regular chaos marine terminators will be limited to the wargear in the box like the DG terminators are in their new codex.

May be best to look at other armies released in the meantime? Thousand Sons, despite not having many options at all, were not. But that's pretty much just plasma pistols on sorcerers. Grey knights weren't - their purgation squads can still take 4 of a specific weapon. What about Orks?

Can't speak to Orks but for Drukhari, Kabalite Warriors can still take double Blasters or Shredders despite only having one of each in the kit and Scourges can still take four of each weapon when the kit only contains one of everything except Shardcarbines.

My suspicion is the loadout rules for CSM Terminators won't change because they've been around in a bunch of iterations for a very long time, and restricting loadouts to the current kit will invalidate a LOT of people's units.

By comparison, the Blightlords kit has only ever contained those options and is only a single edition old, and really the only major reduction in the loadout rules from 8th to 9th is from "any model may taken any combi-weapon" to "only 3 models may take a combi-weapon and they all have to be different ones". They also actually gained an option; in 8th you had to choose between Blight Launcher, Autocannon and Plague Spewer. In 9th you can take the Spewer AND a Blight Launcher or Autocannon.

Maybe not the best comparison but from what I understand the Vanguard Vets have a limited selection on the sprue but the data sheet has the option to equip them with a full suite of Power Axes, while the Deathwatch Terminators really only have the options from the Terminator kits without kit-bashing and that's from a 9th ed books.

getting away from the speculation, has anyone seen other good sites for terminator parts rather than bits sellers?
