Converting input / update finished models

Hey guys, its been a while since I posted here so lets get this started.

To start with, I would like to show some of the progress I made since last time I posted here.

So I bought this custom made display case, told them to make it at least 24 x 48 inch inside so I can put down 2 tiles of the Sector Imperialis board as a base. Top shelf is for necrons, 2nd and 4th are SM (Had to split them as it was becoming way to much for a single shelf) 3rd is Vostroyans.

Dreadnoughts, who doesnt like Dreadnoughts?

1 More Xiphon to be painted, tbh I did not really like painting this model. It just feels very limited in the amount of colours you can put in it to provide contrast.

I am sorry for not taking this out of the case but it weighs quite a lot so.

Working on some infantry again after all these vehichles. Latest projects: Primaris vanguard veterans:

I still need to finish the base. I ran out of Nuln oil =/.

Working on the 2nd one right now, the issue I mainly have with converting this squad is that the lightning claw poses look weird in general on the models as the bodies of the assault intercessors are twisted in an angle. Just scratching my head at this and taking my time. ( Suggestions for this also welcome, I am sure I am not the first one making VV / assault marines out of assault intercessor bodies)

Trying to keep the Vanguards similar to my Bladeguard that I finished before and showed here:

Now on to the main request for this topic.

I would like to make some 1st company intercessors while keeping them in theme with the Vanguards and Bladeguards. I have around 70 Victrix heads left so this isn't an issue.

My main idea would be to use the bodies of the new Black Templar marines as these tabbards/loinclothes? look a lot like the Blade Guard veteran body. Slap on a Victrix head and we are starting to come close to the BV look.

My request is if people have some suggestions to bling them up? $$ is not an issue. The main thing I am looking for are nice looking Shoulderpads and some small things to add to show their veteran status. Ofc purity seals are the most obvious choice but I am asking here if you guys can comeup with something that adds flair. One of the thing I notice on the OG VV is that their legs are heavily decorated. I have been considering to get some of those grey knight bits that are supposed to be like little additional icons you can glue on their belt? and add these to the legs instead.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

No 3d printer. My last serious sculpting attempts where around 4th edition so like 18 years ago?

In general I know I can pull off a lot of things that ppl show me from our community. In general the end result has less to do with skill and more to do with the time invested. (at least this is true with painting)

I assume im able to pull off basic - intermediate sculpting as long as I have an example to copy from with some minor explenation

In that case, why not try adding gold fringe or filagree on the legs arms or pauldrons. it's not difficult. Just roll greenstuff into a thin line then flatten into place, then smooth out. The trick is to have the right tools, and to work as small as you can. If you can pull it off, you save a lot of money on buying parts. Additionally, you can then branch out into sculpting more complex things like skulls and eagles and such. I do this for all my ultras. (Check signature if you want to see some examples). Hope that helps. If you have any additional questions, let me know.
