The modern incarnation of the Grey Knights is popular and ubiquitous, so much so that I'm struggling to find depictions that don't conform to it, which is a shame IMO. I recall images like power armoured Knights wielding regular boltguns, 2nd-ed style terminators with normal handheld storm bolters(might have been a panel from a comic?), and older variations of accounts like the First Battle of Armageddon which have been expunged from the wikis.

Does anyone have any of this stuff lying about or know where it's posted? Beyond the 3rd Ed Index Astartes article every site and search I try is completely saturated with 5th-and-later material.

I thought before that they were a purely specialist terminator force? If its anywhere it will be in their 1st edition army list i guess but mine is very buried.

Here is some archived info from 2011. When I first got interested in GK I managed to get one of the old school OOP GKT w/ the Halbred. Their bolters were originally on their weapons. I never saw anything with them having hand held ones. Maybe you are remembering the old Psycannons?

They have an army list in Realms of Chaos as well, may be worth having a look there.

Unbearable, isn't it? The suffering of strangers, the agony of friends. There is a secret song at the centre of the world, and its sound is like razors through flesh.
