2 Arm Chers in 1 shooting phase?

Recommended Posts

I could have sworn I read in a FAQ or something that GW specifically stated you could not use 2 armorium cherubs in a single shooting phase.

I just read another thread with a couple guys arguing their points, and it didn't seem to get an official resolution.

Do we have a decision on this from GW?  If so I can't find it.

Every SoB player on the planet right now shoots with both cherubs at the same time. Until GW says otherwise, it's perfectly legal. It might not be INTENDED, but it's legal.

I could swear the exact same thing, but I just checked the Errata for Sisters and the Goonhammer article on the same subject and it turns out to still be an unanswered question. I still swear I've read a GW response on this issue saying only one can be used per turn but I can find zero evidence to support my memory.

There was never anything about only 1 per turn. Just a lot of arguing about wording.

Even if ITC judges are ruling it as 1 cherub per phase, we are still perfectly correct in reading it as two per phase until there is an official FAQ from GW correct?

I really only ask because a buddy of mine might be getting back into the game soon and I want to make certain I am explaining as many rules as I can to him correctly when he asks. I am happy to follow the 1 per phase rule whenever I am in an ITC tourney (not that I attend local tournaments at all much anymore), and of course with the recent points hike bringing 2 in a MM Rets squad is about all I will be doing anyway for the forseeable future.

ITC judges have ruled it as 1 per phase.

Which matters if and only if you play ITC. Their prerogative as event organizers is to answer questions like this that GW has overlooked. It's no more an official answer than if you had asked Judd down at the ole waterin' hole outside of that format.

Not sure it is fair to say it's overlooked when there's been ample time for it to be errata'd to specifically limit it, but it has not been. I'd be a lot more understanding of the position to limit it if ITC were ever consistent in their approach to these rulings.
