Temporal Surge

Question for everyone.

Can you cast temporal surge and then still charge?

I can't find anything that says you cannot, but GW generally has clamped down on that for most strategems and psychic powers.    I just wanted to make sure i'm not cheating if there is something i'm just missing that would preclude it

Yep, this is fine - the unit just makes a normal move, which does not prevent them from charging. They only cannot charge if some other rule, like advancing or falling back, would prevent them from doing so.

Note that you also can't do things like cast temporal surge after relocating through the Duplicity spell or crystal to get a short charge.

Ah! Where's this laid down please?

I think it's in the main rulebook, repositioned and replacement units:

The unit cannot make a Normal Move, Advance, Fall Back or Remain Stationary that turn for any reason.

Emphasis mine.

So I understand why you can't Temporal Surge after using the Crystal, or after deep striking. Because the Crystal/deep strike says they are set up in the Reinforcements step of the movement phase, and that is where the rule which says no Normal Move is contained.

But Duplicity spell does not act this way. It's after the Reinforcements step, it's in the Psychic phase. It just says set them up, not set them up following the rules for the Reinforcements step. So why no Duplicity spell & Temporal Surge?

You're right in that Duplicity spell doesn't set up units according to the reinforcement units rules, however once you reposition them they are subject to the 'repositioned and replaced units" rule, which also forbids making a normal move.
