The Kights of Steel(Comment are welcomed)

Recommended Posts

After the Hours Heresy a Space Marine Chapter called the Kights of Steel lost all contact with the Imperium, and other space marine chapters, becase during a Warp Jump their Warp Engie broke, and they were lost. They were a 3rd founding chapter

Many years later a Forge World was under attack by a Ork invaion, when the Forge world almost lost hope. A Space Marine Chapter landed on the planet and helped kill the Xenos, but oddly the Marines had vary old Weapons and Amour. The Chapter called them selfs the Kights in Steel, but the Forge World did not know of the Lost Marine Chapter, but let them stay on the Forge World, do keep it safe, and as a sign of honor. The forge world was in the Segmentum Obscurus Area. Almost right next to Armageddon.

During the last back Cursaide, the Steel Kights held of the force of Chaos with the Help of the Black Templars. After the last battle in the cursaide, The Black Templars reported a unknown Space Marine Chapter.

During the last Ork INvaion of Armageddon, the space marines distoryed a few pivotal space hulks used by the orks . But many orks still ggot to Armageddon. That was when they lost their Greatest Chapter Master, Steelos Dragonos. To a Ork Warlord.

The Chapter Recuits people from Armageddon, and with the back up of the Forge World, they are a vary dangerus Space Marine Chapter. The Kights of Steel do not follow the Codex to the end. But they still use it many times. They lost knowge of their Gen Seed many years ago.

The weapon of chosse is the Power Sword.

Battle Cry is: Though the Power Sword we learn! Though the Blade we kill the Traitor! Though the helt we hold Mankind togeter!

Saying: The new learns from the old. The old learns though the New.

With the help of living with a forge world they can test the new Weapons for the Forge World.

Well thats most of the fluff. I will post the rules later.

It's alright. What kind of a founding chapter is this? if it was formed before or during the heresy, it's a first founding (i think) which doens't work as it's one of the first founded and those are all listed (except for the 2 whose records were expunged from existance). I would suggest saying that were lost AFTER the heresy to make more sense.

Ok thanks for the advice. And what do you think of the Dragonos Knights?

Uh...Not good. The concept is cool, yes, but creating your own rules doesn't work well in an official setting. Now, if it's all house rules and unofficial, it's good. They do need a points cost though. And the LD value shouldn't be 10. That's the maximum, and should really be reserved for especially old and wise heroes. I.e. Chapter master, company captain, etc.

One thing, I don't know if your dyslexic or english isn't your first language, but please, please, please run your stuff through a spellchecker. It makes it much easier to read.

You do realize that thoose are horribly under priced?

WS +1 lets say 3 points. +1 attack, 10 points. Power weapon, at least 10 points.

Artifcer armour, at least 10 points. Storm shield, well 10 points again. And that assault rule, lets say 3 points at least, propably something like 5. And finally +2 to leadership, something like +6 points

which adds with basic marine cost to 57. And this is normal price. To make own custom unit fair, one should pay some extra, as per VDR rules. Ending somewhere 70-75p

During Hours Heresy a Space Marine Chapter called the Kights of Steel lost all contact with the Imperium, and other space marine chapters, becase during a Warp Jump their Warp Engie broke, and they were lost. After Horus Heresy they crossed out the LIA and KIA Chapters, the Kights of Steel were one of them.

Proplem is, that we known all the chapters that took part in the Horus Heresy. They are listed in Codex Space marines. Only the first founding chapters took part in the battles of heresy. Only AFTER heresy more chapters were made. So I would recommend changing that one.

Just say that they are 3rd founding chapter, and fits with in the fluff canon like hand in the glove.

That was when the Kights of Steel were resigned in the Index of Space Marine Chapters.
Beign lost 10.000 years is not a very good idea. Ther is a problems like supplies and such. Beign lost in warp is of course would be one explanation but it is rather much used.

And if you suddenly appear to Imperium, you wont be welcomed with smiles, but with guns instead. For the simple sake that all unknown marines are renegades. They might try to say otherwise, but no-one would believe it. Imperium is very untolerant towards renegades. :)

During the last Ork INvaion of Armageddon, the space marine chapter damged most of the Ork Horde. But many orks still ggot to Armageddon. That was when they lost their Greatest Chapter Master, Steelos Dragonos. To a Ork Warlord.

Are you saying they stopped most of the force, that combined fleets of 11 chapters and one imperial battle fleet failed to stop? How many ships they have? Heroics is fine, but try to stay in scale.

You could say for example, that they destroyed few pivotal space hulks, that orks were using. More easily believable, and still heroic.

Swords that were made in the forge of Mars.

You could say that the swords were gift from the saved forge world. :( It would make a nice story.

Cheers.

It is not as bad as I might make it sound.

Well, the B&C doesn't have a spell checker. What I do is when I find something I'm not sure I spelled right, I copy and paste it to Microsoft word. That has an automatic spell checker, which nails most of the mistakes. Read over Zhivago's post, it's good advice, and then check the Do's and Don'ts of DIY thread stickied near the top. Also good advice, and a great set of guidelines. In the end, if you want your marines to have green skin and purple underwear, they're your models, have fun.

I am not trying to make them super Powerful . I just like the idea of a Knight like chapter. :)

Remember, a dumb idea is better than no idea. And a dumb idea can be refined into a great idea with care and precision.

There is so much innuendo in that statement.
