Different Nurgle player this time than my normal battles.

Her list: (Yes, HER for all of you reading this)

Two 14-man Plague Bearers
Two 14-man Nurgle Marines
Two Defilers
Squad of 7 Nurglings
Kitted out Lord
Predator

My standard 1850

6-man Storm Claws x3
3-man Bikes
10-man Wulfen
5-man Wulfen
Long Fangs
Wolf Priest
Rune Priest
Wolf Lord

She set up with a Defiler and a Predator off to my left, with a squad of Marines right in front of me, with a squad of other Marines to the right, in a forest, along with a Defiler. The Nurglings deployed between the left Marine squad and the Pred/Defiler. Lord was with the "middle" Marine squad.

I set up as I always do; With my army in a huge chunk in the middle, my Lord behind some woods, and a squad of Storm Claws off to the right, hiding in a set of what was called Ruins.

TURN ONE: Nurgle

Defilers shots were straight-on; I lost seven Wulfen and three Storm Claws. The Predator managed to pick out my Lord (stupid deploy on my part; thought he was out of line of sight), and vaped him with three lascannon shots. Everything else moved up.

TURN ONE: D'koi

Severely depleted Wulfen move foreward. Rune Priest failed to Gate. Everything else moved foreward as well, with a squad of Bikes hitting the middle Marine squad along with the Wulfen. Assault went sub-par; only managing to kill seven of the blasted Marines, despite many, many attacks. Assault back saw one Wulfen bite it, and my Wolf Priest pegged the Lord with his Thunderhammer, dropping him of 3 wounds out of four (Go THUNDERHAMMER!), and making sure that the Lord hit at I1 next round.

TURN TWO: Nurgle

Both Plaguebearer squads pop in, one of which assaulting the Bike/Wulfen assault, in conjunction with the Nurglings, while the other attacks my rightmost Storm Claws in the ruins. Defiler on the left blasts at the Storm Claws there, but overshoots thanks to scatter. Defiler on the right daren't shoot at the Claws there, as it may scatter and nail the nicely-placed Plaguebearers (smart move.) Shooting takes enough of my models that were out of the Ruins, meaning that the Plaguebearers were assaulting into cover. Fine by me. Assault sees the Plague Bearers dropped by five before they even got to hit back, significantly lowering the loss. I ended up losing two models to their charge, while killing off eight total. The big cluster  with my Wulfen went amazingly terribly; While losing only a Wulfen to all the attacks, I only managed to kill three Plague Bearers, two Nurgling bases, and her Lord. However, my five-man Wulfen were ready to charge next round.

TURN TWO: D'koi

Gate goes off, lands spot-on next to her firebase, blows up the Defiler, and removes the TLLC from the Predator and stuns it. Wulfen make their DT roll to get through a forest and into combat with the Nurglings. Assault continues; Rightmost Plague Bearers on my rightmost Storm Claws continued, and I killed all the rest of them, losing a model in return. The cluster :P continued, with my Wolf Priest slamming away the rest of the Plague Marines, but not before my Wulfen killed off all the Nurgling bases (hehe... they're like footballs. Punt them.) and my bikes killing off the rest of the Plague Marines. I consolidate towards the remnants of her force.

TURN THREE: Nurgle

I still have the majority of my models, and she's been reduced to one Defiler and one squad of 14 Plague Marines against a three-man of Storm Claws, with the rest of my army bearing down on them. She concedes.

I lost eight Wulfen, seven Storm Claws, my Lord, and a Biker Bitch. She lost 14 Plague Marines, 28 Plague Bearers, her Lord, her Nurglings, and effectively, her Predator.

The only thing that could have gone better was the Wulfen initial assault, and my Long Fangs gating first turn. Other than that, it was a pretty flawless victory. A classy player she was, though. Hope to play her again.

Win, D'koi

You call yourselves true warriors, with your palaces and fountains, your medals and parades? I grasped my first axe when I was still in my birth-caul. I earned my first wolfskin when I was still a whelp. I've been fighting every single day of my life, son. Perhaps you're today's challenge, eh?
