Adeptus Mechanicus Terminator Magos

Glad to see the B&C back online

I spent a fair while with a dremel and saw attacking Brother Captain Stern, until there was not much left then I resculpted lots of bits and have got abot this far now.

I painted the face which is a separate bit when i was bored and think it is probably the best one I have done yet.

The putty is a mix of Green and Brown stuffs which was then accidentally burnt with my lamp in an attempt to speed up the cure time.

I apologise for the low quality photos my good lamp is in my room at Uni so i have to work with not much.

I welcome your comments and critiques.

I never realized you could burn GS with a lamp, interesting. :-) I had just recently been gifted with a severely disabled Stern model from the junk/damaged bin of a friends gaming store. After starting to file him down and ponder what to make of him, I think I may have to go ahead and copy a page out of your book. Yours is turning out very nicely, and I'll be looking forward to seeing some updates.

Abstract Incendiaries? why does that name sound so familiar?

you the same guy from the smoking bolter by any chance?

Anyway aside from the rambling nice model, nice crisp paint job

on the head also! i know that removing the heads from those models

is a right pain in the @$$

Cheers Nick

Welcome back AI. I love seeing Adeptus Mechanicus models. He's got a nice, chunky and clunky feal to him.

Would love a closer look at that skull on his shoulder if your lamp permits  . Now lick on some more paint and bring him to life

Sweet clunky Martian guy! The painting on the face is fantastic ... Very smooth. B)

The only point of critique is that on the second pic, the rivest on his shoulder pad are at different heights - shoddy workmanship like that is not fitting on someone from the Adeptus Mechanicus. :)

Thanks for the comments.

@Foolio_Displasius - It sadly is the only place it really fits what with the cloak and the iron halo, hopefully you will htink it looks better when all is painted.

@Ironloki - I have some more photos of the arm now with a bit of paint, again they are not great and have washed out a lot of the highlights, but when he is all finished I shall get some better overall photos.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Here is an update he has had some gaps filled with greenstuff and a rivet added that fell off on the painted sections so I know that there are small blemishes that need touching up, again with bad photos as ever, but with any luck he will be finished by saturday night and i can get you some good photos on sunday.

Looks great! Keep up the good paint job!

My only comment on it is that it looks a little....un-technological (or something  ) for a devoted follwer of the machine god. The decals and armor are all there, but the machine aspect is a bit lacking, if you know what I mean. Maybe a servo arm (purely aesthetic) or some homemade bionics besides his eye would do it, but from the look of it it might be too late to go chopping up his arms. Whatever you wanna do, man.

Remove the eaglewing from the stormbolter and add an Adeptus Mechanicus skull there. Also lots of scrolls and seals would be very fitting. He also seems to lack in bionics!

If you want to be inspired, take a look at this Adeptus Mechanicus army by Hortwerth

Here he is in his finished state, he will not be changed now as I have sold him, but better pictures as promised.
