thought i would try showing a couple of things i knocked up while bolter was down,

i am not trying to win any awards for painting :P just trying to make them look good on

the table :blush:

i wanted the apostle body to be bigger than the last one so i carved up a terminator and sacrificed it to the chaos gods who warped his armour

I've never understood why such evil baddasses as the chaos space marines would want to draw flames on their tanks a la fast and furious. I like the apostle though. The tank just doesn't scream menacing to me unfortunately.

i have seen both these models in "real life" and the pictures really do not do the models justice...

 

the amount of insane sculpting work that went into that dark apostle is awesome!!! also pay attention to the base!

 

the flames on the tank are cool and really add to the tank!! also looks great when your staring at it across a ruined cityscape board!!

 

some really cool stuff...and i know for a fact that you have more crazier s*%t than this to show :blush:

The apostle is very cool - mind sharing what the main bits are? - you have said a termi ( i assume it is a chaos one to start with )

those shoulder guards specifically look good

 

the flames on the predator look good as well - only the ones on the main hull at the bottom i dont think look as good as the others do as they dont come in from a hidden edge ( if that makes sense )

im going to guess its a marine one, with 2 sergeant shoulders, some crazy weapons/ extra bits, and some awesome sculprting.

hey all thanx for the input ^_^ as for the bits it was mainly a plastic terminator stripped of all iconography,

the main body then had the termy collar at the back cut away ,the shoulder pads are plastic imperial as well scraped clean and recessed then all was smothered in greenstuff .storm bolter hand is from new termy chaplain.and the crozius was a storm hammer with chaos icon from fantasy knights sprue ^_^

ps as for the flames ,the idea was about way before fast and furious and even badasses like to further impose their intimidation. after all you dont get a bad reputation from looking pretty ;)
