Dark Angels Master/Grand Master

ahopy, decided that i wanted a unique looking general for my dark angels, so i threw this guy together. this is my first shot at sculpting by the by, so ill take anything with open arms.

You have the basics down and good! Just need to make some smoother stuff and less chunky but litterally GREAT AND AWESOME first try!

As has already been said, that's excellent for your first time sculpting, particularly the icons on the leg and chest.

Thats great for first time(I still need to give it a try). I can see you switch the left arm, it looks kinda backwards, but I understand. It just looks weird.

I would have done the belt to keep his robe closed with actual wire. The GS belt looks a little too thick IMHO.

The rest is pretty good actually. Much better than the blob of GS I usually come up with :unsure: ...

Thanks for al the replies! It took me about 6 hour in total to build, over 2 days waiting for the greenstuff to dry.

 

VtrAxX: I've cut away and smoothed out the robes of teh chest, making it look less like maternal wear

 

Raziellycas: The backpack icon is from the Brettonian Men-at-Arms command sprue. I cut away the face of the Lady of the lake to make look more Dark Angels-y.

 

Obliterator: I thought the belt looked too fat too, so i swapped it out with wire, looks much better now.

 

As soon as I get it all touched up and painted, ill throw it up. I gotta say im a better painter than sculptor.

Pretty good for a first attempt. The big thing is the proportions are corect. You probably have sculpted over another model, judging by the perfect allignment of the plastic leg.

 

There's something about those icons on the chest and leg, I'll edit the post if I can't find what I'm trying to say.

Found it. Those icons on the chest and leg look like they have been done using a cast.

 

If you haven't just correct me, but the leg one looks identicle to an icon in the tactical squad box set.

 

The chest angel is pretty much identile to Azreals as well.
