I want him to have some oomph! and pizazz and i was wondering if you guys might have any suggestions on how i might do that? The Angelus Sanctus Posted April 26, 2006 Share Posted April 26, 2006 I dunno BW, the mold lines on his head and legs do give him alot of 'ooomph' factor :P Id say work on giving the colors some highlights, or even work on tones by using washes to bring out more of the mini detail. I missed the one on his head because unpainted i couldn't tell what the heck it was. The one on his leg has actually been shaved off but i think i mucked up the leg and flattened it when all i was trying to do was remove mold lines. Druss the legend Posted April 26, 2006 Share Posted April 26, 2006 I agree I would go for a matt blue on this mini. Try giving the model an innk wash to help pick out the detail, or you could try dry brushing it with some brown to tone down the shine factor, this can also make your mini look battle hardened as well as pick out detail. The Angelus Sanctus Posted April 26, 2006 Share Posted April 26, 2006 Yeah mold lines are evil, esp when on a pewter mini ;) Im thinking keeping the metallic blue would be good, its just that the metal sections need some more work, Ie more definition to the armor etc to bring out the colors. I personally think that just adding in tones via washes will be sufficient. Like on the shoulder pad for example, if the lil plate on the pad had some definition in it, it would stand out alot more, thus giving you your required 'oomph' factor :P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
