My deamon prince for my Deathguard army.

It was a while since I painted this, but i thought I would share it with the community here. Any comments welcome.

If you want to, please feel free to vote for it on CMON Deamon Prince at CMON

Converted from a base of obliterator legs and archons body. Head of a plaguebearer and lots of GS. Especially pleased with his scratchbuilt shoulder pad consisting of a fleshy maw complete with a tongue. His spine is exposed and flesh corroded. Body swollen and bloated, the guts forming a tentacle-like weapon.

Tried some NMM-like blending on his scythe.

That is one nicelooking model.

I just have to ask where you get your ideas for all of your strange ideas. As I take some inspiration from some of your work it would be fun to know.

Its a great compliment if someone takes inspiration from anything i managed to do. Thank you!

I dont know where I get my ideas from. Ive been collecting GW minis since 1989 so I guess I have lived with them for some time. I like to paint my models with realistic colours even though theyr mutants or whatever. I dont like for example purple or green skin bu tend to paint them in fleshy colours. Also I believe less is more (hard to think with this prince... ;-) But simple conversions is often more effective than cramming 1000 tentacles on something... hope I make sense.

And, why is it always a dead Dark Angels marine on the bases?

Becasue they are either too stupid, or too brave :P (too brave i reckon!)

Nice model!

cheers

Very nice... Although, the paint job doesn't make me think 'Nurgle', it makes me think 'Ugly guy ripped to shreds and put back together'. Not quite the same thing. More greens and browns maybe. And since you've got a dead Dark Angel on you're base I'm not voting :P jk

Might I ask a few things: Where'd you get the cape and Manreaper?

Just wanted to say that the model looks awesome. Can't wait to see more of your work.

Its nothing personal ;-) But i regulary play against a Dark Angel army, hence the spoils of war on my bases.
