Not a model that I paint as per normal, but allowed me an excuse to try painting in a slightly different style. The red was fun. Scab for base/midtone... then shading down by adding black and highlighting by adding blood red. juckto Posted May 5, 2006 Share Posted May 5, 2006 Looks more like a Word Bearers red to me. Very nice paint job in any case. My only criticism would be the grip on the axe doesn't look up to par. One thing, you got some of the brown from the axe handle on the bottom of his gauntlet. I like the blending of the red on the armor. I think that it came out really nice. Good job.
