Drunken Dreadnought Posted May 7, 2006 Share Posted May 7, 2006 Looks very nice, man, better than anything I could do. I like the color scheme a lot, and you pulled it off pretty well. Something's missing, though - I'd say add a bit of highlighting to the helmet and boots - it seems a bit lacklustre in those areas. But of course, I'm sure you were getting to that. I dont know if its the photos but the paint looks like its a little thick in places but like I said, could just be the pics. Thanks for the reply, im pretty sure it was the pics, as im looking at him now and he doesnt have as many extreme highlights on his armour as the pictures do, also it was taken in a very well lit room, and the armour had multiple layers of *shiny* ink on it. I do like the idea of a grey gas mask, before i kinda had the idea of a skull motif on the mask (a la death korps of kreig) but i think itll take too long to individually paint the same skull on each stormtrooper. Yeah i could see the greyness working, although im a little afraid of him looking too "overcrowded". Oh and one thing, the eyes in that pic look realy bad, since that was taken ive redone them so the highlights are only on the edge of the eyepieces. Thanks for the input, muchly appreciated.
