Recommended Posts

Well I found Chaos Marine and I decicded to paint him as a Deathguard experimenting with Glazes and this only took about 20-35 minutes of easy painting to achieve; ^_^

Not bad. Two things I can see that would definately give your model some more 'pop' to it are firstly the eyes, which look a bit dull. I've found that a really well painted eye in a gem effect or otherwise can take your model the extra mile, and its still feasible to do on a tabletop stanadard miniature using production line painting techniques.

Secondly, i'd invest some more time on the base. Although this as you've said is only a test model, when you get around to your main army a well built up base really ties the force together. Theres a great snow tutorial posted somewhere in a stickied thread in the PC&A if thats snow that you're going for.

One final thing, perhaps go easy on the digital editing of the photos. It tends to give a skewed or misrepresented idea of whats going on in the miniature.
