Thinking of starting Deathwatch

Recommended Posts

Morning Ladies & Gents!

Well after a long night of deciding what to do with all my left over SM parts

ive decided to piece together a new army & i'm thinking Deathwatch!

Mainly because you can have marines from various different chapters under

one banner that & the various different iconography the army allows you to

have, which is good for me as i get easily bored painting one scheme all the

time.

So what i'm looking for at the moment is a little inspiration from those who

have made Deathwatch armies, it would be a great help to me just to get the

ball rolling as i'm currently lacking a little enthusiasm on this new project.

I did two five man squads with the first squad made up of Marines from more assault oriented chapter's such as the black templar blood angel's and white scars well the other squad was made up of shooter's dark angel's sallies and imperial fists.

Grimdarkness i like that idea, although i'm going to add more feral chapters for CC such as

Space wolves, White scars, Mortifactors, Raptors with maybe some Blood Angels & Black

Templars added, as for the shooty theme i'm thinking maybe Ultramarines, Dark Angels,

Imperial Fists, Salamanders, Exorcists, Celestial Lions.

In way of inspiration, here's a pic of part of my Death Watch Kill Team, which I'm planning to paint once I've finished my remaining Inquisition Storm Troopers (and university... meh :D ):

Librarian & Death Watch Marines

(I've kept it a link 'cause I thiink it might be too wide for posting...)

The Librarian is from the Raven Guard, I haven't decided what all the other Marines are, but there's an Ultra, a Crimson Fist... I've also made two Veterans (an Emperor's Scythe and a Space Wolf) as well as two Heavy Bolter dudes.

Like I said, should get round to painting them in a couple of weeks time, then I'll post pics... hope this helps! :)
