Showcase: Post your Dreadnoughts

Recommended Posts

. . . . and here is one of my wife's:

Your wife is a much much much better painter than I. Does she do any other arts such as painting or something like that? My mom is one of the people who raised my painting to the level it is (in about a day of watching her paint on her wall). So in my experience women are amazing painters but they do not like nerdish stuff such as Warhammer 40k.

Wow. some really awesome ideas on this thread.

Here's one of mine. Inside and out. The arms can be removed and replaced with Lasscannon and the left I made a huge Thunder hammer.

The torso comes away from the legs and can turn almost a full 360 degrees.

Well, I guess I should post up Iniel Bannister here to.

He is the current Crusade Commander of the Arena of Death competition "The Fate of Nestir", right here on the B&C.

http://www.codexguardianangels.com/images/aod/nestir-v/dread-cmdr-bannister.jpg

The model itself is a combination of two Forgeworld dreads, the GW Venerable

dread and a regular GW dread, as well as a extra weapon from Forgeworld, a bit

from a chaos tank and the huge sword from the Inquisitor range.

I will see if I cant put up a flash file of him one day, where you can turn him around to see him from different angles.

He was originally presented as part of the Nestir V art thread, found here:

It's a Penitent Egnine "frenzied driver". Sisters of Battle (Whichhunters) have those as Heavy Support. Though I had to widen the whole body to fit the driver in.

I play it as my Venerable dread if I need one, I know it doesn't seem very well protected and armored... But since it's so old and ancient, heavy shields and the Emperors will is protecting it.

I greenstuffed morecable and his arms going into the Dredd. The top armor is the normal one, but i flipped it only to realize the shape was perfect but slightly smaller than needed, So I filled the gaps in the shoulders with Greenstuff and plasticard (old credit, phone, gaming and other cards work out great and are really easy to get and is basically plasticard). The top is made up from two gunbatteries from Imperial Battle Fleet Gothic. Almost a perfect fit on the top. :)

Used a leftover Havoc launcher from my Chaos Predator to make a Missile Lancher for my Chaos Dread. The arms are detachable so I can place the Missle Launcher on either side.
