Terminator Apothecary WIP

Well, It's a crappy pic, but it was taken on the fly and it shows a bit of what I am going for with my Inquisitorial themed Army using Deathwing rules.

I took the apothecary bits from the command squad and used every thing except one scanner on the backpack. The apothecary version of the Caduceus was shaved off of the back pack and replaced the iconography on the Assault terminator groin gaurd.

The iron halo was slightly modified, but otherwise was simply glued to the terminator hood. The cables on the reductor was replaced with plastruct plastic. The Corvus helmet had the scanner on its left side shaved off, in order to fit inside the hood.

So, what do you all think so far?

not being a jerk as its neat, but where in the rules do they allow you to take a deathwing apothecary???, theres no option in the command squad in codex space marines, or are you ignoring the update?(using friendly permission etc)

as to the actual model not a fan of the beakie head or the halo piece on top

very nice although I think ordinary SM helmets don't match terminator suits..

I did a similar conversion a while ago.. My work was inspired by nephelim's terminator command squad...

Chapters with Scions of mars can take terminator armoured apothecaries in power armour command squads.

Cool!

I'm going for a similar approach in my Deathwing army. I'm going to have a command squad with a Standard Bearer, Apothecary and a Company Champion. Good to see the Apothecary bitz fit with the terminator models. ;)

Thas a nice conversion, I am (very originaly) planning to do a coomand squad for my deathwing as well. My only critasisms are that the iron halo looks a bit silly there, maybe beef it up with some GS or something, Also I feel comand squads should have nice dynamic poses to make them really stand out from the cound but thats only IMO.

Very nice conversion, do you plan to do the other specialists in the squad? I cant wait to see the others and this one painted. Good work! ;)

looking good!

as others have said - not to sure on the beeky helmet, but thats personal taste.

have made a ravenwing command sqaud doing a similar thing (as in the count a normal bikers but just look the part and my HQ joins them as an IC so it works with the rules) and have been planning on doing a DW command squad but not got round to it or thought much on how to start so thatnks for the inspiring push!

If you like the helmet, keep it. Too many people give in to popular opinion on these boards. Your toys, express your style :)

Good work HF, though I'm not liking the beakie head. ARe they all gonna be beakies? I noticed you collecting them. I suppose it would look pretty good having a whole army of beaky termis, more uniformed, and so less awkward.

Thanks everyone. I wasnt convinced about the beakies either, but gave a squad the corvus kit and it does seem quite good. I was trying to steer away from the bulldog face somehow and, I do have an unnatural love for corvus afterall.

I am sure even the beakie haters will be somewhat swayed once Ii post the whole shebang.

Thannks again.

I'm a fan of beakieheads myself, but I think you should try to get the throat a little bit more into the torso. Right now it looks as if he had broken his neck. If you put it a little bit more into the torso it would get a more "natural" look. Also think you should use a p-fist instead of the current hand. It looks weird atm IMO. Other then that a really good job, just the painting left :(
