And, i say it with almost every model I see, but...mould lines. with some minis, there isn't much to worry about mould lines-wise, but those ones have them very visible. but the painting (especially highligts) is great. I just noticed though that the shoulder pads could probably do with redoing completely. the highlighting, in my opinion, should be closer to the trim on the pads, and the symbols look a bit...off. i remember a cool tutorial on doing the arrows and ultra symbols. Killy Posted September 29, 2006 Share Posted September 29, 2006 Good Job and good Ultras! i'd recommend 2 things: a little cleaner but stronger higlight especially on arms and shoulderpads, use a 50:50 Ultra blue\Skull white and draw a little wider lines over the edges (arms) and follow golden trims in the inner part of the shouderpad. Try drawing a thicker but more regular and continuos line. Also i'd highlight the eyes with fiery orange along the lower curve of the eyelenses. good job, over TT quality. The thing that would benefit most from some additional attention is the faces. They do look kinda flat. And the eyes are a bit off. BTW, is the command squad in the link yours as well?
