Techmarine in termi armor

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I think I posted a WIP pic of this termi a few months ago. Here it is now completed:

http://www.hiboox.com/vignettes/2306/4j7mkuw.jpg

It has been made for the Canadian GD, based on a plastic termi torso with a lot of milliput around, plastic GW parts, sculpted parts in milliput and plasticard, greenstuff here and there...

Final result is a bit messy and unclear but it is the effect I wanted to achieve.

Cheers,

Ced

Oooh I like it very much.

To be honest! I thought it was inquisitor scale, it yust looks that way. But it is normal 40k scale!! damn was I misled.

As always another fine terminator from the sinaer!!

:o Awe inspiring. What is his Chapter?
Have you even looked at the picture? There are at least two easy to find Ultramarines symbols.

Get that to a golden daemon contest NNNNNOOOOWWWWW!
How about Games Day Canada 2006? He won a silver daemon ...I think (not sure).

I like it, nice rust, probabl a bit too big but still very, very nice.

The only design element that doesn't fit thatgood are the rather blockish leg armour segments. I know that they are taken from the power armour Techmarine but this one's proportions are distorted. They look like thy would fit in with Transformers better than Space Marines and they don't look as bulky (a real tactical dreadnought armour) as they "should".

And on this one I like all the little details and stuff that is haging around. I didn't like it on most of your older stuff. It's probably the combination of the stuff being rather in scale (and not too oversizes) and this being a Techmarine.

And I like the overall colour scheme, mood and especially the rust and corrosion. Good job.

Apart from the chapter symbol I couldnt tell which chapter it was, I was thinking Death Guard or something else plaguey. :o

Yeah not as clean or solidly coloured as I like my soldiers but meh whatever floats ya boat...

Haven't seen any of your highdetail stuff on the B&C or some time Sinaer, nice to see you're back. :o

My only critique is that the color of the tech marine and the base are pretty close to each other, he could blend less into his surrounding for more impact image vise. Other than that it's a superb piece, haven't seen stuff like that in a while. B) Incredible conversion work.

Cheers

I love it. Very nice and rusty. Looking very gothic as well with that scroll. I've never been a fan of the button nose techmarine but he looks very snazzy :o

Though the paintjob is pulled off brilliantly, when I first saw him I was indeed thinking along the same lines as Panzer here;

It does indeed look like the Death Guard (and I do mean that of Nurgle). The colours seem to have that element of "rottenness" over them, as does the surroundings. The model just seems messy - it's simply too much, and that takes away the focus. When I look at him, I notice the axe and has to look for the head, and that isn't a good composition IMHO.

So sorry, but this model actually looks more messy than nice to me, even though I can appreciate the great skill put into it.

I remember taking a good at that while at GD

Very cool sculpt... maybe even slayer sword worthy? but the paint job is REALLY sloppy. I understand the look you were going for, but i think it takes away from the figure
