I'm not a fan of using librarians to simulate other abilities.

You know that 'Yor' will be chained by a 'Collar of Khorne' and a 'Warp Talisman' carried by a Champion of Tzeench will affect his aim and combat-prowess..?

I would like some official ways of making characters, but we all know they'll be abused by the munchkins. (Do we call them 'munchkins' in minture gaming?)

I like the character, though, and how you have used events in your games as basis for the characters fluff. One thing, though, I always thought Space Marines were rendered sterile (if not impotent;)) by the modifications of their physique? And have the Guardian Angels really fought alongside Space Wolves?

The model looks great! :)

Here are my Imperial Fists characters that are on Medusa 5, most people know who they are.

To the left is the giant Veteran Sergeant Laszlo Brutus, he is second in command of the 3rd company. He lost both his arms in combat with an Ork Warlord which meant he didn't take part in the events in 'Storm of Iron' He is so large that his armour has to be costume made (He's even to large to fit into a standard suit of terminator armour)

In the Middle is newly promoted Captain Korban Vermaas, he is armed with Alaric Eshara's power swords and is on a hunt for the Daemon Prince known only as 'The Warsmith' who nearly wiped out the third company and killed his former captain in the book 'Storm of Iron'

and lastly on the right is Lexicanium Pedro Mawgan. Mawgan is a newly promoted scout he was trained by Librarian Corwin (Who died in Storm of Iron) He never speaks and communicates only mentally. He is Vermaas' military advisor and never leaves his captain's side, he is armed with Corwin's Force Staff which was found in the rubble of Hydra Cordatus

Very cool character CG. Big fan of your Chapter and fluff!
Well thank you! :)

I will strive to continue to deliver.

Well, I think it builds a Characterfull Character that isn't braking any rules.

Much better to use rules to count as than to go ahead and make stuff up.

No, I was not aware of that, but it doesnt really matter.

I would love some official Character rules to, and if they are made in a proper way with the right points cost it will be hard to abuse.

Still think the "Counts as" is the best way to establish Characters though.

One thing, though, I always thought Space Marines were rendered sterile (if not impotent;)) by the modifications of their physique?
Wrong!

This is not stated in any official fluff.

It is a misconception in line with that of Space Marines never taking their armour of and that their Armour is actually fused to their body, or that Marines are unthinking, uncaring barbarians.

And have the Guardian Angels really fought alongside Space Wolves?

In their fluff, yes they have.

The model looks great! :)
Thanks! :)

Finally, thank you for your feedback, but this thread wasn't really supposed to be a discussion on my character, but rather a show-off thread for M5 Characters belonging to B&C Members.

So lets see your Characters!

Nice Characters you got there by the way Apemantus :)

Oh no, a cold, professional, relentless killer is much more in line with the imagery of the Astartes.

Nice! :)

The right handed weapon of Captain Lysar Adama seems to be something special, but it's hard to make out from this angle.

Is it a special sword?

That's a boltpistol with a blade (gunblade) ican select how to use it.

Glad to see people have started posting some M5 Characters!

I love the way the M5 logo came out on the kneepad there The4thHorseman - You must have a hand as steady as the Emperor himself.

flyinghippo; the colour of the skull bionics is great!

I love the Marine's servo harness to, especially the sword; and you did a really great job on the fallen Marine to!

Glad to see some Traitors showing us Characters as well!

Well, I've had time to set up another Character.

Not really anything great, just a recycled mini with a new head and a background story.

You can also notice the loyalist M5 logo on his knee / shin-guard.

Just posted this in the WIP forum, but as he'll be taking part in the MV campaign, here it goes:

http://min.ipod.se/axel/latd/page3/files/page3-1000-full.jpg

This guy hasn't really got a name or a background story yet, but he's an Aspiring Champion leading a small force (400 points) of Lost and the Damned.

Due to the converson work, I bet he could be a Lieutenant or a Lord as well! :(

The dark metal colour of the bionics on the Marines head. - um... not the actual skull on his backpack. - Altthough that also looks real good min you. :tu:

The funny thing is those bionics are the same colour if not a little brighter than the rest of the metal...

If you're making a Lord out of it, I think a cape would finish it nicely.

Before you mentioned that I thought the model was beutiful. Now thinking about it, looking at him and him not having a cape looks strange...

Also I never knew guardsmen were that dumb

The pads are from the old Chaos Warriors, as mithrilforge said.

I agree he could use a cloak, but previous attemts at making them has gone wrong. I might try to make somthing that's detachable; makes the whole thing easier to paint!

And, Flying Hippo, of course Guardsmen are dumb! Why else would they be the meat shields of the Imperial Army? Well, stupid, and the Champion shoots the stakes through the ground using the warp forces that infests the daemon world when the Guardsmen come close... (daemonic mutation, anyone?) :D

Cheers; Moribund!
