Boltgun on X box series x is great fun if you just want a blast for a few hours at a time. I pick it up now and then just to spend 30 mins or so reminiscing about the old days of gaming. I also have the original space marine on my steam deck and although it's old, it's a cracking game to play in my opinion.

Built the rest, so will stat painting this week.

Today I built: Terminator captain Terminator Libby 5 terminators 5 sternguard They are the leviathan models that I hadn't built. Tomorrow I will build the Lt and the infernus marines. I've not done much building, painting, playing or buying over recent months. I figured if I started building them, I'd force myself to paint them over the next few weeks.

I'll try and pick up the veterans box set if I can. Think I can use some of the models to fill out my chaos army

Yeah, I can't see myself picking this up for my custodes.

I forget a lot of the rules for models / interactions. I'm getting my wife into playing at the moment so we have played a couple of games together last weekend. I stripped the rules down completely, no strats, and stuff like that. I didn't use a CP for the whole game on anything. Was much easier to play. Even though I did that, my wife said "the rules are too complicated" so it comes to show that people who have never played before can have a hard time just playing the game in it's most basic form..she wondered how children play if the rules are.so complicated.

I've clipped the tips off the stands, stuck a magnet on the end and then drilled one into the base of the back pack on the marine. I've 6 of each and they are all done that way.

I can live with the current range of generic primaris marines for things like intercessors, hell blasters and such. I am not even worried about chapter specific shoulder pads for them. I can live with the current range being generic with just paint and decals (heck I don't even bother with decals). What I would like to see is chapter specific terminators (especially assault), new SG, new DC jump pack marines, new libby dread, and the above mentioned characters. I also want to see the Sanguinor get the primarch treatment with a similar scale model to girlyman and the lion, with similar stats. I am not really keen for our primarch to return, but let's face it, if he does we will all buy the model LOL. I think baal pred and things like that can be covered to some degree by the existing range of new tanks, perhaps an extra weapon sprue.

Working on these two and the new terminator Chaplain over the next week. I don't like the heads that came with them so swapped out for some reiver heads from the old space marine Primaris interdiction force box (never made the ten reivers). Also don't like the judicar's hour glass, so I'm giving him a shield from a spare indomitus lieutenant, I'll try and pose it as if he's striding towards battle, sword on his shoulder and shield swinging as he walks. Also did this guy and managed to magnetise his two weapons.

You can pick up bits from eBay for about £5 so could make a set of talons and then a fist version. Chest mounted guns I'm not sure about as they are covered by the body / armour somewhat

The Christmas box sets are typically how I've built the majority of my armies. I got the TS last year and the WE this year. My Primaris BA army has been built predominantly from these types of releases. I very rarely buy a box of X from GW. I go to my Local independent store a d see if they have stock and they have luckily helped me out over the last few years. Love the models, barely play, but some of the stuff GW does is a little strange..

My FLGS got 5 of each. They tried to order more from GW but got the orders cancelled.
