  1. Fantastic video! Love that paintscheme and the way you explain it and make it look so simple. Also really like the subtle differrence between the warm whites of the cloth/leather and cold whites of the armour.
  2. Fantastic write-up, thanks! You did surprisingly well with that army. What in your army would you say worked best against enemy vehicles? Also, happy birthday!
  3. Actually, the Brotherhood Champion doesn't have terminator armour. Pretty sure he's the only character without (aside from Crowe) that comes with basic power armour.
  4. Here's a screenshot from the new Chapter Approved 2019: Seems like tha basic cost of our power armoured guys have gone down by 5 points, BUT we do now pay 1 point per Nemesis Force weapon (1 point for a single Falchion, so it seems 2 points for a pair). This means that a Strike Marine with a Sword or Halberd has gone down 4 points total; from 21 to 17, while Falchion guys have gone down 3 points to 18 each. Named characters have gone down as have some non-named ones and Paladins went from 47 base to 41 base!
  5. I've recently ordered some wolf-bits from KF Studio; some decorations for torso's, loincloths, fur-bius for shoulders and arms/legs and a set of 5 heads. Ordered on the 14th and delivered the 22nd from Russia to the Netherlands, so was quite pleased with that! Not gone through them in detail yet, but at first glance the quallity looks really, really good!
  6. Hi Iron Warrior fans! I really love the new Abaddon model and wanted to try mu hand at a conversion ever since it came out, so I build an Iron Warriors choas lord in terminator armour from it. The pictures aren't the best as I took them with my phone, and I still need to put him on his base (I took a 60mm base as I think the base from Abaddon is a bit too big for a regular chaos lord. Still, I hope you guys like him!
  7. Hi guys! Here's my Grey Knight grandmaster in Nemesis dreadknight armour (a.k.a. the baby-carrier). He's slightly converted from Voldus and some changes in the models' pose. He's a part of my (just about finished) Grey Knight army
  8. Nice read, AnnieGreenGable! Too bad about the losses, but having fun games is a lot more important that winning, IMHO.
  9. I don't personally mind baby smite on the units, but why don't characters get the full version?
  10. Element Games still have 3 Dreadknights in stock. They are always good to order from.
  11. Holy sh*t, these look beautiful! That black and vibrant pink works like a charm (though I might be more than a little biased), and my, are your conversions fantastic. Great stuff!
  12. Hello guys and gals, As I've gotten quite a few questions about how I did the gems bursting from the armour on of my old Emperors Children army, I thought it was time I did a small tutorial for you on how to do it. Unfortunately I only found out my lighting sucked by the time I finished the thing, so the pics are nothing to boast about.. :P The subject is the upper leg of a (chaos) marine that I'll be using for a tutorial on how to paint pink! Meet Mr. S: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/John_Thompson/Tutorials/Bursting%20Gems/base.jpg Step 1: Put a small ball of greensuf on the place you want the gem to be. The ball I used in this picture is actually about 1,5 times as big as what I actually used.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/John_Thompson/Tutorials/Bursting%20Gems/step1.jpg Step 2: Flatten the edges of the ball with the round part of a GW greenstuff tool-thingy. Smooth out the edges to make a nice bump in the armour like so: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/John_Thompson/Tutorials/Bursting%20Gems/step2.jpg Step 3: Take a sharp hoby knife and draw the gem in the greenstuf with the (moistened) tip of the knife. Hold the knife at an angle from the center of the gem outwards. This will give the gem a more rounded shape and you press the edges of the armour upwards a bit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/John_Thompson/Tutorials/Bursting%20Gems/step3.jpg Step 4: Now use the knife to make some cuts in the armour to make it look more burst than melted: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/John_Thompson/Tutorials/Bursting%20Gems/step4.jpg And a better pic of the finished gem-fro-armour-thingy: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v320/John_Thompson/Tutorials/Bursting%20Gems/Finished.jpg Next up is painting the mini.. Hope it helps! John
