  1. Hi Morgrim, welcome to Titan. Grey Knights are a great army to play, difficult to master, but so much fun. All the infantry units are solid, particularly Brotherhood Terminators and Paladins. Purifiers are very good against infantry, especially with Crowe and Strike Squads are an excellent utility unit for jumping around the board and scoring. Kaldor Drago and the Librarian are probably our best HQs although Brotherhood Champions, Chaplains and Grand Masters are good too. I have no experience with Voldus, so I don't really know there. As I mentioned above, Crowe is really good with Purifiers, but they're a bit of an all-or-nothing combo. Sadly, our vehicles are all in a bit of a bad place at the moment. Most don't really fit in with the teleport assault theme Grey Knights have right now although the Land Raider is pretty good, and Razorbacks can be fun if used well. Dreadknights are just too many points for what they do and a bit too easy to kill (which just means they take more skill than I have, to get the most out of). This is all, of course, just my opinion.
  2. I'm adding a few units to my Grey Knights at the minute, mostly half done, but would be very interested in a painting competition if one came up.
  3. I've used mine in 3 games so far and every time my opponent has thrown everything at him until he's dead. I assume he's really, really good, because everyone is terrified of him, but in all 3 games he's been dead by the end of turn 2. Takes the focus away from everything else though, which has allowed me to win all 3 games.
  4. I painted my Plague Marines as Iron Warriors, as I envisioned them as Iron Warriors who have pledged themselves to Nurgle and become Plague Marines (also, I think they look amazing in IW colours). I think if I added Berzerkers I'd do the same (as I did for my homebrew renegades). Rubrics I think I'd paint as Thousand Sons and Noise Marines, in my mind should be a riot of clashing colours with the original colours impossible to discern. IW Plague Marine Korven Khorne Berzerkers In my headcanon, anyone can become a Plague Marine or a Khorne Berzerker, but Rubrics should be Thousand Sons. I reckon it's whatever you think looks cool and fits the theme of your army, as long as your opponent is clear as to what's going on with all your units.
  5. I love my vindicator. I have been, it must be said, outrageously lucky with saving throws for it, but it can soak up a lot of punishment, especially if there is a warpsmith nearby. The iron Warriors strat Methodical Annihilation is also very good.
  6. I've had great success with these, although as Kythnos suggests, I have found the anti-tank mode disappointing. I find they're best utilised in their 5 million shots each profile, particularly if you can put a +1 to hit buff on them.
  7. I often use a squad of plague marines with my Iron Warriors. They always perform very well as a durable mid-table objective holder. Never played as Death Guard though, so no idea how they compare, but I've always been very pleased with them.
  8. I stuck a basic unit of 5 in a land raider and just rammed it down my opponent's throat and they were amazing. My opponent was terrified and focused all their firepower on the land raider, which let the rest of my army do pretty much whatever it wanted. Once the possessed got out of the raider they were right in the middle of the enemy lines and deleted whatever I pointed them at, so I was very happy with them.
  9. You could paint them as your own homebrew renegades, that way you can swap between legions game-by-game. My bright green renegades, the Korven, are usually Red Corsairs, but sometimes I fancy playing them as Night Lords or Alpha Legion (feels wrong to do that with my Iron Warriors). As long as you're clear with your opponent before the game.
  10. Looking forward to watching this develop. Can't wait to see where you go.
  11. In terms of in-game craziness, during 3rd or 4th ed, I played (traitor) guard versus my mate's Deathwing. Turn 2 he deep striked (deep struck?) A squad of thunder hammer /storm shield termies and a Chaplain into my flank. Turn 3 my Chimera blew away the entire squad, never seen so many 1s rolled in my life. The following turn the Chimera killed the Chaplain. I spent the rest of the game throwing it at the enemy like it was a Baneblade and it got a few more kills. After that game I always used it as a front-line battle tank.
  12. I'm calling this one done. Brother Anonel, Vexilla of veteran squad Caestaris. Anonel several decades later, having been promoted to the ranks of the Deathwing companions. Finally, after his entombment in a dreadnought. The three Anonels side-by-side.
  13. Hashut be praised, these make an old Chaos Dwarf player happy. Anything chaos and bull related makes my heart sing. Fantastic work on the helmets.
  14. On Friday I'm having my first battles since 6th ed. 1000pts vs Dark Angels, Sisters and Tau. I think I'll try out my Nurgle Iron Warriors. Lord, Sorceror, 3x10 Cultists, 5 Terminators, Helbrute, Plague Marines and Havocs. No idea how I'll get on, but none have played before, so it'll be a steep learning curve for all of us.
