We always have something in the oven.

Mine have become a mid game clean up crew. Turn one deepstrike assault marines, terminators, etc. Turn two position rhinos or LRC to deploy crusaders on turn 3. Turn 3 unleash hell. And one EC. They do ok. But losing the extra attack on charge really nerfed the hell out of them. It could be argued that the bolt pistol round maintains that attack effectiveness. But a smart player will remove the dead to widen the gap to make the charge harder on us.

When you're preparing to paint every helmetless marine head in storage in preparation to paint the head of our Primarch. And painting countless leftover shoulderpads to get Sigismund's yellow armour just right. Failure is not a option.

I only have the contempter, so I'll only comment on it. 9" move, 2+ to hit in melee, and 5 inv save tends to terrify everybody that's seen it. The assault cannon is just gravy. Even my local Dark Angel player started using one because mine chewed up a squad of his bikes quickly.

I have worked with resin before. I just wasn't prepared for all the contact locations I'll need to trim and file. I don't remember pewter being this bad. I think the modern plastics have spoiled me.

When you buy Helbrect and Grimaldus just because. By the Emperor! Finecast is Horrible! I think I'll have to launch a Crusade just to prep 5 models.

When you almost get in a argument with the girlfriend over what you're about to spend at Forgeworld after seeing the Rogal Dorn model. Gf: "how much are you going to spend on 2 models you can't play with?" Me: "they're my chapter's history. Oaths to the First High Marshall, and my Primarch, I must have them". Gf: "..., whatever, it's your tax refund". She doesn't know I plan on spending around $500+. If I'm ordering from FW, I'm doing it right.

When your gaming group died and you still need to crusade by driving a hour to purge heretics, witches, and xenos. They're powergamers, but a solid group. I guess my time of relaxing games are over.

If you're going to personally defend the Emperor, you're expected to be the best.

When you haven't played warcraft in a while, you log in to find out you main's title is Crusader. Now if only i could do good black armor with white shoulderpads to look good together.

I was thinking about why we got our own codex years ago then noting after. And it hit me, it probably comes down to copyrights. Bear with me. It's hard to put a hard copyright on out chapter name and icon since they're historical based. Imperial guard, Space Marines, and a couple others got changed over the years because they could not lay down a solid copyright on the names. Perhaps were in the same boat.
