  1. Hi! It's been a long while. I've picked up the hobby again after a while and subscribed to Warhammer+ after a feverish work-through of several backlog projects and a few new ones, because I want to start a Khorne army and I'm not paying the scalper fee for Azrakh. It's cheaper to just get the subscription and move on. So, if anyone has him, I'd like to see him next to the current Chaos Terminators and, if possible, Cataphractii or Tartaros, I'm curious to see how he scales. I'm sure the answer is "he scales fine, might be a lil big", but I'm interested to see.
  2. Hi! It's been a while. I've gotten back into the hobby recently, and I'm thinking on how I would go about the rules for a Blood Ravens force, if I were to do one. The question is simple - can you, using Blood Ravens as a faction and still able to take Gabriel Angelos, field Chapter-specific, non-special-character units from one First Founding option or another in the same fashion as a custom or specific Successor Chapter (Librarian Dreadnoughts and Death Company, or Blood Claws and the axe Primaris Lieutenant loadout, or Deathwing Knights and Ravenwing Apothecaries, etc.)? The main reason I'm asking this is that the default Dreadnought in Dawn of War is actually a Furioso Dreadnought, if you go by its weapons - two CC weapons, can upgrade to a gun, and I also feel like in a psyker-heavy Chapter like the Blood Ravens, Librarian Dreadnoughts aren't entirely unfeasible.
  3. TITH... I'm back-ish. Still need to pick up new brushes - I asked for some over Christmas, but alas, all I got was detail brushes. Hardly the kind of thing you can paint a small army of Unforgiven with - it'd take too long! I'll also need to make a paint run - there's some GW paints that are mandatory for me to pick up if I'm going to be doing any painting at all, if only to maintain consistent basing schemes across my Imperium models - but I'm researching and picking at the models I've already got. As a bit of a teaser for what I've been up to in the meantime... The Apothecary in the middle on the weird base is a resin-printed guy off Thingiverse - until/unless we get a Primaris Biker Apothecary datasheet, he's counts-as, but it's fine. He's meant to ride with the Outriders, two of which are using Incursor helmets; the third is using a spare Eliminator helmet. Not my best build or paint work, but they'll certainly do - I had fun with them, even though two of the Outriders have very, very conspicuous cracks down the center of their bikes from where I couldn't quite get them to line up correctly. It's fine, though. I'll be working on the rest of Indomitus (I know I'm late on this) whenever I get sufficient brush to do it; the Novokh Dynasty and the Dark Angels alike will be joining the grand list of armies I own whenever I get around to it.
  4. I'm late - very, very late - but this is amazing work as always. If there's one thing I want to return to this hobby seeing, it's more work from you done in my absence.
  5. May just join you come late August when my Indomitus set arrives.
  6. So, here's the deal. I've gotten my hands on a 3D printer and generally figured out how to use it. I've also gotten my hands on print files for a bunch of visually coherent sci-fi bases. I want to print and paint these bases in advance of my copy of Indomitus showing up - both the Nihilakh Dynasty and the Dark Angels will be based in the same style. Do any of you know the base sizes packaged in Indomitus?
  7. Printer should be up and running tomorrow. I'm torn between that, ah... special Achillus, or maybe something more Chaotic. Thoughts?
  8. Condolences, Dusk. I hope things go well for you, your family and your models alike.
  9. New orthodox organization, combat squads can happen on their own and each battle company can have up to 20 squads. So it’s just to cover off those that go down from 10 to 5 for combat squads? I hadn’t picked that up. Each Company can have 10-20 squads; each of those can be either half-size (3 in some cases, 5 in others) or full-size (6 in some cases, 10 in others). From Codex: Space Marines, 8th Edition, v1, page 12, paragraph 1: "Each of the ten companies of a Chapter boasts one hundred warriors, led by a Captain – a veteran of countless wars – and often two Lieutenants. A company is traditionally organised into ten squads of ten Space Marines, each led by a Sergeant. However, new guidelines in Guilliman’s updated Codex Astartes provide for up to twenty squads of five battle-brothers. Furthermore, recent precepts allow for each Battle Company to be reinforced with auxiliary warriors. These additional squads are reassigned from the Reserve Companies."

  11. Any chance I could vow a 3D printed model for this? I've got a... special... Contemptor-Achillus printing right now.
  12. I'd magnetize the head to easily mark it off as one or the other at any given time.
  13. TITH, I played around with my brand-new resin printer, and... good lord, the CSM prints I found are utterly massive. Absolute units. That guy on the left is a Master of Executions, the lad in the middle is a regular Shadowspear CSM with a headswap and the lad on the right is definitely-not-Fulgrim who is also definitely a Daemon Prince.
