  1. agree, anything else will be sad, I HATED the redesign claws got for the last version of assault terminators.
  2. see, being old and coming from an era where deathwatch were "just" a super cool elite unit. I'd actually love to see them return to their roots, a 5 man (or 10 man) squad of guys all with 3 wounds and unique interesting wargear. Or go further and have them basically be like company heroes with 4 wounds a piece, and each one being effectively a character, give them an apothecary, techmarine, heavy weapon marine, melee marine etc a bit like kill team cassius. To me Deathwatch make the most sense as an exceptionally elite unit even among elites as that's kind of the point of them. Lore wise they also rarely deploy en mass, usually instead being deployed as lone kill teams (like space marine 2 depicts) If I was being really wish listy, you'd get to pick a coupe of DIFFERENT space marine detachment benefits, and apply them just to that unit, showing the mixed chapter tactics in action.
  3. I like some of the design changes on the new one, the shorter doors are good for example. But yeah, an stl to basically make proper doors and base would be fun
  4. Looks like primaris? Because it has the 6 vents? Mk4 did it before primaris.. eldar did it originally too. personally the skull head my least favourite there. But like others I’ve been on and off eyeing up enforcers for a looong time. Really like these a lot
  5. Honestly a fancy veteran looking Phobos model would be great. I think rievers need that exact treatment tbh, bit more bling to make them look like veterans
  6. What’s fun. Is the reaction of bland is the same the last one got, but after some time, most people tend to look at that one fairly positively. i do think there’s some nice poses in this set - I love the walking intercessor (soft spot for walking poses), the infiltrator is quite nice for pose and I really like the riever. the assault intercessor is uninspired, as is the infernus marine. i quite like the sergeant, mostly because i do like alternative chest decoration when it shows up. the lieutenant might be nice too from the silhouette. from an actual kill team rules perspective, i imagine these will be distinct from angels of death, which is a shame. It would be much better to just have them add rules to that kill team. if I can find a cost effective way to get them all, i still probably will… because I like adding pose variety (I have both wolves battleline sets coming for my blood angels so I can mix them in)
  7. I think my biggest gripe, is I’d have liked to see more characters like the grenade one from the last batch. How body and pose just doesn’t exist in existing kits and he had a cool bionic arm too. Very unique. I actually really liked the last batch and have them integrated into existing units id do the same for these if I could guarantee getting them in one pop
  8. he seemed really familiar. its because both head and torso seem very reminiscent of the lieutenant kit
  9. I like the models well enough, they are generic, but literally every heroes set that wasn’t plague marines has been. The pose variations, whilst minor would be nice additions, much like the last set. but, like others, the fact you can’t just get them in a single purchase is an instant no-go even for me
  10. Great unit, I love them and I love running them with the captain. They aren’t necessarily top tier, but they have pretty fun rules, make a solid bodyguard and look amazing on the table.
  11. Different game. D20 roll under skirmish game, typically similar model count to kill team or warcry. Also has a ttrpg based on it
  12. What if they got setup as part of the terrain phase and then counted as a deployment point for x models
  13. Yeah was why I went to local GW, I like the staff there and had already missed out on pre ordering from any of my usual online stores so thought I’d give launch day a try. my son has built the terrain already and made a start on the ravenors now
  14. managed to pick up a copy in the UK Birmingham store this afternoon.
  15. few bits and bobs going on for me currently - got some 3d printed blood angel jump intercessor torsos commissioned, hoping to get those arrive soon (along with some torsos in running poses with BT style/sternguard style tabards and some terminator legs with tabards). Going to use those to make some more sergeant type models and some vanguard. plus my third terminator squad. - been building a death company dread, again some 3d printed bits involved (this time from archies forge), going for a wild abandon type charging pose, will post pictures once it's fully built, but happy so far! - starting building a second scout squad - started building on foot death company - have a set of grey hunters and a set of blood claws coming to use as extra bodies to mix into various existing squads.
