Looked pretty solid honestly, I like that the “ranks” aren’t very neat and that they position to make use of cover and terrain -

I think it’s intentional to fit in the increased height gorget. I don’t think it’s incorrect or even an issue -

calgar tigarius cato victrix titus & co guillliman upgrade sprue this guy then they also had the black library model (hammer chap) and uriel ventris (currently still usable and not legends) included those two separately as neither are readily available but both still add to the perception. Templars have marshall castellan helbrecht grimaldus champion upgrade sprue sword bros crusade squad Execrator ancient blood angels have dante astorath sanguinor mephiston captain priest sanguinary guard upgrade sprue dark angels have lion azrael Black knights/ravenwing bikers interrogator darkshroud/vengeance nephilim/dark talon Belial asmodai Lazarus deathwing knights inner circle companions ezekiel sammael upgrade sprue makes 8 ultramarines (10 if you include the black library guys but lets not) and 8 blood angels, 10 templars, 13 dark angel kits and wolves have 20 (very clear outlier there) -

Model itself is actually pretty great as an addition to ultramarines. as a blood angel fan I continue to feel I’d have preferred a champion and chapter banner for my sanguinary guard, seeing as the victrix guard got a chapter banner and champion -

What separates Sanguinary guards from Van vets with Jump packs apart from wounds?
-
so lore wise sanguinary guard are meant to be among the chapters best fighters. Their sole purpose was to protect the primarch and now its usually to protect Dante or other individuals he tells them to. Vanguard veterans are exactly what they say, vanguard assault troops. Sanguinary guard are bodyguards, their special rules represent this with them fighting better when with a character. Rule wise they have better weaponskill, better wounds, better armour than vanvets. Their basic weapons are also better, both the spear and sword outperform a regular master crafted sword they used to be bearers of the chapter banner but we lost the sanguinary ancient and instead got a rubbish banner model.

I get the desire, I just think that sort of thing does suit guard... sorry, astra militarum, better. I think the concept of the ATV could have been good, it does make more sense than a bike with sidecar for any kind of bad terrain... It just needed to not suck. I actually wonder if the base design of the vehicle would have sucked less if it were multi part... bear with me a sec but... take the joytoy one.. So maybe the circled bits in a multipart version could have been more interestingly posed? The rear wheels are on a bit that mean the entire back side can angle based on terrain if required, also means you could have one angled and one more flat and couple it with the front section angled to create something looking like its on a HARD angled turn, then the gunner could have had a more interesting pose, maybe even have it have multiple poses in the kit to allow for more angled posing. The steering part obviously would need some scope for different angles too... All that said, the front of the vehicle is just AWFUL, had the front been as armoured as the rest, it could have looked better even, rather than the marine being exposed like he is, if the armour plating was further forward and went round the driver completely, maybe there's some world where the vehicle wouldn't suck? Ignore the grav bits, but the armoured section for the driver does look better here: Still unlikely frankly. -

You didn't. that was @FarFromSam Anyway. Hey look another thread where its full of "nuh uh, primaris are bad/good" The bikes remain fine, but not exciting, just like when everyone originally commented. As @Lord Nord in Gravis Armour said, it also may be a stealth confirmation of almost all firstborn kits (bar rhino and land raider) getting axed, alongside the ATV (hurrah!) the Suppressors (hurrah) and the Turret (hurrah). I own a unit of each of those primaris things, but I wont be super bothered to see them go. I think I used suppressors twice and the ATV once. -
intercessors are good for objectives - sticky objectives is handy. Them getting so many shots if targeting a single thing is good too. assault intercessors with jump packs are good but I assume you already have RAS that can just be used as those. I personally like company heroes, though their price increase did dampen them a little. infiltrators are good screening units. ive seen suggestions that suppressors might actually be useful this edition - their models still suck though and they’re hardly easy to find
