A big fix for CSM and firstborn would be a return to form for 250 point land raiders and 35 point rhinos. Just as the Emperor/ Hours intended. Primaris transportation should get fly back and be able to deepstrike to justify their points.

Its just exhausting seeing real life bleed into fandoms/ hobby spaces meant to be an escape from the grind. Leave that crap at the door and enjoy the high priced plastic + resin together, simple as.

Everyone has largely echoed my thoughts, but on this instance with Ferrus- Tainted millita horde, overrun other battle lines, Ferrus arrives to the frontline to smash the millita vanguard and lead the counter offensive. A primarch on the frontline literally stalls an entire enemy army's advance. Thats what your game is, that turning point in a wider war. This is from a narrative/ lore point of course.

Must be nice to perform poorly and still be employed. The writers have access to the literal sauce and they got the lore this badly put together. They had an existing framework to structure, and add some extra flavour, they blew it with all the ingredients already done for them.

I hear you. The 40k Dev squad with the new mk VI or existing mk IV is a no brainer, but the cost stopped me, the HH heavy weapons are a lot cheaper though. I did use the OOP 40k assault squad with the new mk VI and am happy with the results, but my wallet wasn't. Capping off the infantry is a good excuse to stop the ever collection, but plastic tanks only encourage the motor pool to grow. I am short tartaros and cata command squads. Could do with another cata box for legion termi's, I have x10 cata magnetised I should split off to do x2 10 man units. By virtue of so many OG mk III, I have a ton of HB's, maybe a HB HSS is on the cards as well.

I have to say, the stock issues have really curbed my impulse buying. Whenever I want to buy something on a whim it's never in stock. Latest ones were the old mk III FW praetor and the sword cata guy. By the time I see it again I likely won't get it, impulse has gone.

Darktide, but I recommend playing vet last because once you use him with the lasguns, you won't want to touch the other characters. I have over 100+ hrs with only lasguns vet.

New shattered legions and black shields in new HH BG book is the oasis you have been looking for if you miss "your dudes".

The minitures hold no value to me with no game behind them. If it was just the IP with no game, majority of the kits would barely sell. I would be engaging with warhammer differently with no table top game, character series models, tank/ aircraft kits and the "squad"delivered like SM heroes. Would be lighter on the wallet even haha.

The OOP stuff is a good excuse to cap off existing armies, and make new ones with the new kits. Like, I would be buying mk IV to finish off existing armies if that's what you have. Did it with the old mk III. New command squad makes sense, need a reason to buy the upcoming melee upgrades, eventual breaches.

Named characters in these boxes are a waste. Could of added a new Shield cpt in a termi suit instead.

Agree, I also think people's "my guys" also begin to drift into main character syndrome territory when making homebrew lore. It's hard to hear for example, your HQ lore has basically become one punch man/ Goku etc. Need to dial that back.

I just realised what a lot of people are saying here- the connection of the ever collection vs one and done projects with satisfaction. Heresy I know but instead of 12k+ pts of a mono legion/ chapter we might be better off with several one and done armies instead? * (Angry Perty noises from the cabinet.)
