Gen.Steiner's Achievements

  1. I'll have to dig out the images of my HellBitches and we can get a proper House Escher theme going on. :D Those are some really awesome face-paint-jobs too, Sister Alessia - I hate trying to do makeup - it's so harrrrrrrrrd whinge whinge whinge :P
  2. Speaking of circuses, I always intended to paint a Delaque gang up like a bunch of clowns. Patchwork coats in funky primary colours, face paint, the works. Gang leader modelled after Dr Whiteface of the Fools' Guild. Dios de los Muertos Goliaths would look awesome. I did my current Goliath gang up as Classic Punks with tartan trousers, dyed mohawks and all that sort of stuff. Probably do the plastics up as some form of oiled-up musclemen.
  3. I went through my Necromunda collection last night, with a sharpie and my copy of the Specialist Games Catalogue. I have both more, and less, than I thought (paradoxically). I still need: All the 'new' metal Orlocks, plus Orlock Heavy with heavy stubber, Orlock Heavy with flamer, Orlock Leader with meltagun, Orlock with stubber and pick; Orlock with lasgun 1. New Goliath Champion 2, New Goliath Heavy 2, New Goliath 5, New Goliath Juves 1, 4, and 5; plus Goliath Leader with grenade launcher, Goliath Leader with meltagun, Goliath with lasgun and autopistol, Goliath with autogun and axe, Goliath Juve with stub gun, and both original Goliath Heavies. All of House Delaque except Delaque with Lasgun 1. All the Redemptionists (old and new). All of House Cawdor. All the 'new' Van Saar, Van Saar Leader with meltagun, Van Saar Heavy with heavy plasma gun, Van Saar Juve with autopistol, Van Saar Juve with stub gun and club; Van Saar with boltgun. All the Pit Slaves. All the 'new' Ratskins. Bounty Hunter 1, New Bounty Hunter, New Bounty Hunter 1, New Bounty Hunter 2. All the Enforcers (and probably all the old Adeptus Arbites ones too, even though they weren't actually strictly a Necromunda release). All the new Scavvies, plus, Scavvy Boss 1 and 2, Scavvy with stub gun and knife, Scavvy with blunderbuss, Scavvy with autopistol and knife, Scavvy with autogun, Scavvy with shotgun 1, 2, and 3, Scavvy with stub gun and pick, both Scalies, Plague Zombies 1, 3 and 6. Wyrd Pyrokinetic, Wyrd Beastmasters 1, 2, and 3 (and the Ripper Jacks, Giant Rats and Milliasaurs) All the Spyrers. The Caller on foot and on Giant Rat, the Redeemer and Malakev, Scabs and Kal Jerico, the Farseer, the Fire Dragon, and the Sniper. Phew! Set against that, I do have all the Escher and original Ratskin models (and multiples thereof) as well as all the Ash Wastes Gang. Quite a way to go though!
  4. Cool gang themes... dunno; I think a lot of my inspiration comes from random places. Have to see closer to the time.
  5. Hive Secundus needs more than a nukin', it needs a purgin' - send in the Redemptionists!
  6. Played against a Redemptor with the fragstorm launcher thingies the other night. It seemed pretty decent but I think that the storm bolters are probably better value for points. Weirdly it had a flamer as well; it seemed like a poor choice of secondary armament when you have the option of MOAR DAKKA in the form of the gatling cannon. It never got close enough to anything to flame anything!
  7. Can Confirm: Sustained Assault Primaris and Space Marines are pretty brutal. On the other hand my Chaos Marine list is very sub-optimal...!
  8. @ Slave - yeah, that's what I'm planning on doing...
  9. I tell you, if this was an official version of Blanche and his chums' Inquisimunda this will be incredible.
  10. Lessons From a Game I played the latest Fate of Konor mission with the figures I have, which is to say "a sub-optimal list", so take all advice with that context please. I had: Chaos Lord in Terminator Armour with Black Mace and combi-bolter Sorceror with Force Sword and plasma pistol 5 Terminators with 3x combi-melta, heavy flamer, combi-flamer; power fists, power axe; 5 Terminators with RAC and 4x combi-bolters 10 CSM with Icon of Chaos, heavy bolter, melta, plasma pistol/chainsword 10 CSM with Icon of Slaanesh, 2 plasma guns, bolt pistol/power sword 12 Cultists (Mark of Slaanesh) with heavy stubber and autoguns 18 Cultists (Mark of Tzeentch) with flamer and autopistols/ccw Dreadnought with RAC and power claw Came to about 1,400 points ish. I faced off against two 750 points lists that totalled: Space Marine Captain with storm bolter and relic blade Space Marine Chaplain 5 Intercessors with bolt rifles 5 Intercessors with bolt rifles 5 Intercessors with bolt rifles 5 Tactical Marines with flamer and combi-flamer 5 Tactical Marines with multi-melta and combi-melta Razorback with TLAC and storm bolter Razorback with TLAC and storm bolter Repulsor with ALL THE GUNS (storm bolters, two heavy stubbers, twin lascannons, pintle gatling, turret gatling, fragstorm, krakstorm...) Redemptor with HOG and flamer and the little rocket launcher pods I lost the roll to go first even with a re-roll. In their first turn I lost my Slaaneshi cultists, 12 of my Tzeentchian cultists (6 to shooting and 6 to morale), and four of my Slaaneshi CSM. In my first turn I dropped in my Terminators and concentrated fire from both squads of Terminators, my heavy bolter and my Dreadnought destroyed one Razorback and four of five Marines inside it. This was a mistake - I should have dropped behind his armour advance and killed his Captain for 1VP and then done as much damage as possible to his Repulsor. In their second turn I lost the rest of my Slaaneshi Marines, a couple of wounds off the Dreadnought, and four of my melta-Terminator squad. Oh, and their Razorback came back on. In my second turn I put as much fire as I could into the Repulsor and took it down a couple of wounds. In their third turn I conceded after they killed my remaining melta-Terminator, the surviving Cultists and Dreadnought, leaving me with no real way to take back or even contest Objectives 1 and 2 - a squad of CSM I needed to control Objective 3, a Sorceror, and 6 Terminators (one of them being a Lord) was not enough to combat their entire 1500 point army (the destroyed combi squad with multi-melta came back on in turn 3)! My real learning point is that my Iron Warrior collection is way too small to build even half-way decent armies from. Also, kill Repulsors dead. They have a ridiculous amount of firepower.
  11. No, not as far as I am aware; I think possibly in the Gang War! magazine or Citadel Journal there might have been rules for a Chaos Cult. Most people just used the Redemptionist rules and painted/modelled accordingly I think.
