  1. I use Catachan as a sort of Blood Pact analog. Strength to represent a more martial close combat ability, fairly brutal firepower from tanks and aritillary (which also fits) and some nice buffing characters.
  2. Perhaps they will make use of Forge World here?...With GW producing the upgraded basic troopers (Catachan and Cadian) and Forge world doing the upgrades to individual regiments. This kind of how they did it for Blood bowl and Necromunda. I have bought a few Anvil and Victoria Mini parts in my time and it is quite dramatic how much a head or torso swap can change the character of the miniature.
  3. I thought that relic was odd when I read the profile...its RAW also suggests there is a typo in the boltgun bit and they intended it to say boltpistol. I always thought it was weird that Sions cant have bolters yet standard sergeants in infantry squads can.
  4. Love that red static grass on the cracked earth bases. The ogryn are very nice indeed. It doesnt detract too much from him, but the slab shield guy has a mould line on his arm (I often find taking photos brings out mould lines not visible normally?) That aside I love the colours and character of your big guys, Great job.
  5. This whole tread is amazing. Great stuff. The jeep isnt a bad analog for a Salamander scout/ command vehicle. The command is quite useful to artillery. It also would work well as a Tauros.
  6. (edging off topic) Necromunda used to have a 'bolt shell' option for shotguns, where they effectively jammed a bolt round into a shotgun shell which acted like a sabot. It was ridiculously unreliable, but the tech savvy gangs could make it work. -Using that as the justification- use your shotguns as bolters?
  7. I would say, if you are in love with these models you could just take an allied Space marine detachment without having to worry about chopping them up :) However, with appropriate conversions this could work really well...This probably wouldn't just be a matter of an arm swap and a camo paintjob. I have been tempted to make a LR tank commander out of an Dune Crawler for a while now. Dreds are longest on the vertical axis rather than the horizontal like guard tanks...so be prepared for your models being a bit more visible over scenery than standard tanks. You will probably get away with minor size inconsistencies because your models will be easier to see and shoot at (rather than harder).
  8. Had a play with one of my old magnetised sentinels and managed to make a version of the loader rig that will fit. The arms need paint, but seems to work.
  9. Exilyth - yeah, the search light I left off untill I got the grill placment right...It will go back when I have a good spot for it. Going to get get some paint on it now and see how it turns out... I will leave the grill off to let me get paint at the sentinel nose and then see what you lot think.
  10. Ok Three options for the Grate. Lower? Off entirely? Or Rotated? All will probably need a bit of cleaning up and filing to make them neater, but which do you guys prefer?
  11. Are you sure? I have found the Victoria minis excellent, but really close to GW scale... If slightly longer/ limbed. The Female minis might be closer to what you need?
  12. Cheers Exilyth. The Arms are from the killa kan kit....I might still yank the grate altogether.
  13. Cheers The_Son_of_Dorn and Expendable_Aquanaut... I have 5 or six built- I guess I will have to move them up the painting queue to show them off.
  14. You can only have 1 command squad per HQ choice...you will probably find it tricky to get more than 3 in 2k games. There isn't quite enough legs/bodies to get 2 command squads from one box. There is one of each special weapon. Head and arms to build a medic and the a few sword and pistol arms for building a commander. Plus loads of detail bits like pouches.
