  1. I think it's fine, not amazing, but fine. It'll be more interesting as it ages, and you can do MK V and MK II command squads. I think as these are a new unit, they want them less ornate than an actual command squad.
  2. I think Emperors Children won't be in it, and they'll do similar to WE last edition. So something like a EC force in a White Dwarf until they get their standalone Codex.
  3. Both kits look multipart, they're going to be quite nice additions to the range. They've been a long time coming though. I really like the MK V-esque helmet for the standard Chaos Lord, very nice, as that's one of my favorite armor marks. Hopefully World Eaters get some access to some of this too, hopefully at least the basic Chaos Lord. I'll have to pick up another kit if so.
  4. The site upgrade is now complete, and we are now on Invision 4.7.16. As always, if there are any problems, please post them in the bug reports section.
  5. Hello everyone, Invision has released version 4.7.16 of the software, which includes some fixes and a new feature for clubs, although we'll have to evaluate that feature. We will be performing this upgrade on Friday, March 15th at 7:30PM EDT/11:30 PM GMT. I expect this to take less than 30 minutes, although like always, the site will be unavailable until the update is completed.
  6. The Heresy teaser could also include a new roadmap, which would be quite nice to have.
  7. The ones they painted for their youtubue channel were more like the character, so in my opinion, it's a wash as to what's 'official'. Like with any army or model, should just paint it the way you want or like. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter for that reason. That said, moving back to the topic, loving the model overall. Might have to do an Iron Hands force at some point... but after I finish my SoH and then Alpha Legion, who'll be the project after.
  8. They did like a black metal paint scheme when they showed off the MK IV, which I think worked out pretty well. It was certainly different and stood out quite substantially. Been a bit busy at work, so pardon if someone else mentioned that :)
  9. I like to view my glass half full here in that there's more characters than the last campaign book, and half of them do cover some of what needed it with Shadrak Meduson and Endryd Haar. So overall, as far as getting something for the Legions that needed it, this will have impacted that.
  10. Regardless of how it happens, quickly accruing a large amount of disparate studios/companies isn't a recipe for success. Hopefully the new private investors do well for it, although that's up in the air of course.
  11. I'd expect all the characters getting printed there will get miniatures and move from 'Expanded' to 'Core', otherwise they wouldn't print them there. It'd be different if it was a book similar to the Exemplary Battles, but this is a more full expansion.
  12. I suspect they have two game design teams now, maybe three. HH/Legions Imperialis is one, ToW/MESBG is the other. I don't know where Necromunda sits in all of that, same with Titanicus and AI. Perhaps the HH/LI team will move to the same style of updates, but they have a lot more on their plate. HH 2.0 had to come out and they had a shakeup of the team when Anuj left, then they had to do LI pretty much right afterwards. So that team with lineup changes has been doing multiple new games straight, whereas ToW/MESBG only had to maintain one of their games, and develop the other. It's a bit of apples and oranges here, so I don't know if we'll see things change to that as an overall policy until SDS stabilizes some now that all their games I think are out. I think we'll see in-depth HH update now that they can pivot to maintaining, but we'll have to see how that turns out. In the meantime, I'm going to work on a SA army and grab some units like this Basilisk/Medusa just for the rule of cool. I think it'll take a bit to see a rules update for them though, I doubt SDS is going to do a 3 year cycle like 40k does, and they may do even longer than a 4 year update. It'll really depend, and we won't know until we see 3E come out sometime in the way future to see if they have any schedule or timeline on editions.
  13. Cool, I thought that might be the case. So my thought there is that if it's the same people and they've been consistently doing that in the past, then I see no reason a priori that they wouldn't follow through with that for other things they work on. That team/side of the division knows how to schedule their time. That said, in relation to the 30k side of SDS, it's definitely something that the 30k/Legions Imperialis design team (which I assume those two games are designed by the same team) need to get their ship in order on.
  14. I think the complaint is more that in their initial publication and actually printed on the cardboard of the box is the other transfer sheet. So they likely intended the one that did end up coming with it, but there was some mixup in there.
  15. I suspect it'll hold true, as some of their design interviews looked like the same development team as MESBG, which has consistently done that. I might be wrong there, it's hard to tell when only going by first name. Either way, that would be an appropriate pace for 30k and Legion Imperialis, so I'd like to see that as the way they go forward there too.
