  1. That is brilliant stuff, thanks! My normal style is very neat, smooth & rather retentive so trying something like this will be a good boundary-pushing exercise!
  2. I love the style you have in your paint jobs. Like an impressionist or something, works really well for Orks. Do you have any videos or step by step posts on how you do it? I imagine it's a very creative, organic process (at least the end result looks that way).
  3. Terrific work as always!
  4. I like the plastic wings and I don't think they are too small at all. He has bits missing from him and is quite tattered, so the plastic wings fit that aesthetic well. He's also wiry rather than bulky, so the smaller wings fit that aspect, and also play into the whole 'unnatural floating ethereal thing' vibe of the rest of the model. The metal wings are too small, too clean and don't quite fit the lines of the rest of the model; I think anything bigger than the plastic wings would explain too much and take away from the mystery.
  5. Great work! Love the weathering effects.
  6. The shields look great. I think they break up the lines of the model nicely, the Knights often look more Warmachine than 40k to me and the shields go a long way to restoring a gothic vibe.
  7. Nice use of the shoulder pad to hide the awkward join on the stikkbomm arm. It's a beautiful bit but it's rather hard to actually use, isn't it!
  8. Nice work, thank you for the step by step on the Stompa!
  9. That is really nice weathering and a lovely smooth red! How did you do the tracks and dark streaks, if you don't mind sharing?
  10. Wow, that face! Outstanding work, you are right to be pleased with your results brother!
  11. You could heat up a round-headed pin and use it to melt holes and gouges for bio-plasma. Grab the pointy end of the pin in the jaws of a pin vice so you don't burn your fingers, and be careful of the fumes.
  12. The Enforcer trilogy is basically a love story but not at all a romance. Incredibly grimdark, too, and a fantastic glimpse into the civilian side of the rotting Imperium.
  13. I seem to remember one of our old books describing our preferred forms of war as the orbital assault and the mechanised sledgehammer? Certainly seems to be how things are shaking out now.
