Soric's Achievements

  1. Both Argel Tal models are looking awesome Kraut. I wasn't too keen on the glamorous head on the "normal" version of him originally but after looking at it a few more times I think it works. The removal of the braid might make a bit more sense as he'd have to stuff it into his helmet whenever he dons it but that's just a minor concern in realism with regards to a far future, demon possessed, warrior zealot. Again amazing work and looking forward to seeing both versions painted. Might I suggest another character to use the leftover Kranon chest piece for? Erebus ;)
  2. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/DuskRaiderXIV/Mobile%20Uploads/20170522_223812_zpsl1hczoew.jpghttp://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/DuskRaiderXIV/Mobile%20Uploads/20170522_223819_zpsg9exzevm.jpghttp://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/DuskRaiderXIV/Mobile%20Uploads/20170522_223831_zpsanrrrbgz.jpg This guy reminds me of the skeksis from Dark Crystal (strange film). Your killteam models alongside the chaos marines are looking amazing :D
  3. That Argel Tal looks great. Nice use of the DV Chaos Lord head and I like the pose you've got him in. I was going to say that the wings were a tad big for him but then again he'd need big ones to lift a legionary in full war plate. Can I venture a guess that your future plan to implement the sword involves magnets? :) If not it'll be interesting to see how you do it and also an non-demonic version of Argel.
  4. I really like the look of the new helmet you put on your Khârn and I can see where Augustus is coming from on its position in his gorget. Would it be possible to lower the helm a bit? Maybe shave down a bit of the lower neck on the head itself. Apart from the head issue, the rest of the model looks superb and I'm looking forward to seeing more from the 30k Eaters. On a side note, your base with the broken aquila plate instantly made me think of Betrayer and was wondering if you'd ever thought of making an Argal Tal mini to go alongside Khârn (using the other side of the plate as a link).
  5. Brilliant kitbashes all round. While the new Ahriman mini is just awesome on its own, you've managed to take the new Cypher and turn him from shady to shadowy as hell. Some very unique minis. Looking forward to see where you take this plog. Just one question: Has someone been reading Talon of Horus lately? :P
  6. That's quite a muster you've got. Russ looks pretty awesome with the two different coloured power weapons and I definetly think the PGM pads make cataphracti terminators look better (especially if they're honour guard units). Keep up the good work.
  7. While Ferrum does make a valid point (maybe they're so the other members of the squad can grab extra ammo/tools if need be), I really dig the use of the extra pouches on the backpack to make them similar to forgeworld's recon kit. While MkVI isn't my favourite armour, you've definitely done a good job in making these recon marines look more operator like, just as the AL should be.
  8. Those are some beautiful death guard you've got there (never thought I'd say those two words in the same sentence). The consul is suitably menacing and I'm looking forward to seeing some paint on him as well as whatever you crank out next. Great work :D

    Soric's Astartes

Photos of WIP and finished Adeptus Astartes projects, specifically non Death Watch Space Marines.
  10. I actually like the look of the old school bolter that you've done with your Alpha's Praetor (never used to before but then again it's probably grown on me a bit). Is he ordinary astartes scale? Also what knife is he carrying? It looks like a filthy xenos one :P Looking forward to seeing more from your Alphas (and Angels hopefully).
  11. Your Abby and his terminators look awesome together. Also your brother's scenery in that last pic looks amazing (wish my siblings understood my obsession with little plastic/resin/metal soldiers). Great stuff as always.
  12. I second SanguiniusReborns' opinion one the use of yellow eye lenses for your XIth legion marine. Would definitely contrast more with the red and black armour plates. I'm so glad you weren't in the Slaughter Priest painting competition for my local GW, your Conversion would have put mine to shame something fierce. Some awesome work here :)

    Soric's Imperial stuff

    For Non-Astartes projects
  14. While the inner Imperial in me says VII legion, the renegade in me wants to see this guy in XX legion colours. Also thematically it would make sense for him to be an Alpha as you said it yourself that Tartaros armour is a newer mark and the Alpha Legion would have access to it in preparation for the Heresy. However regardless of how I feel, whatever decision you make will yield stellar results.
  15. The knight is looking pretty war torn. You could probably try a destroyed gun emplacement with sandbags scattered and wrecked heavy weapon or go with the puddle idea with the remanents of a tree just off it, both complete with mud to give that no man's land feel.
