  1. That thunderhawk is a nice size! Source https://www.instagram.com/p/CVqpkzUBM8f/
  2. They look like Grim Dark Terrain walls so if you have a 3D printer or easy access to one you can get the STLs and make them yourself or there's a list of merchants on the GDT site - https://grimdarkterrain.com/merchants/ Today (probalby this month) in Titanicus I worked on Warhounds. I have all the plasma and megabolters magnatised along with three volktie, a lance and a ursus claw. I need to work on the plasma blasters and weapon shoulders (which I forgot to basecoat and attach...) There are another two warhounds like these but I didn't think about bases for them at all so that's on the to-do list. Pictures are linked to an imgur album for shots from different angles.
  3. Today in Titanicus I... Have my titans one step closer to being finished, I got some of the heads assembled and wanted to do a dry fit and mark a milestone for me :) The main colours on the armour plates are done and once I finish the weapons the great trimmening will begin. I thought silver would work for trim but it blends too much with the white, gold suits it much better. Also started on masking for a warbringer. I'm not sure what direction I'll go for the rest of it so might take some time for me to make progress on it and the warhound weapons will keep me busy for awhile. One idea is to paint a couple of the leg panels red to mark it out as having served in the Prospero Vigil at somepoint, not something I'll do on all the larger titans but just two or three of them. Once I have the warbringer finished I will have a full Arcus maniple and plan to move on to Reavers with the ultimate goal of a Warlord.
  4. Got 1 each, I really need some tartaros to go with them. Back to IF once I finish my Titan force :)
  5. The photo should link to an imgur album with some of the steps for it, I try to do pictures along the way because I find them useful to look back on but basically it's tape cut in to tiny squares. I didn't freehand cutting the squares either :) I used a cutting plate I got from Ali Express. A "Steel Groove Type Digital Camouflage" cutting plate :D Although I did eyeball positions of the squares so some of them aren't straight :) Shouldn't be noticable on the table top. One step that I think was useful, or will be if I get bad tape in the future, when you put the tape on put a layer of varnish or a layer of the base colour down (in my case white) and allow to dry fully. If the tape soaks up paint and you get bleed through then it won't matter as it should be the same colour and it will help seal it before you paint on the next colour. I spent some more time on it today as well, came out well I think. The picture links to a small album with some more WIP shots.
  6. Today in Titanicus I finally painted some purple :D I'm not sure about the second one (with all the arrows). It seems a bit wonky in spots , I'll get the trim done and see if it grows on me but I still have my test carpace plate if I really don't like it. Still some engine plates, shin plates and two heads to do.
  7. That looks good. Are you going with gold trim? Interesting to see the stages of your paint job. I always think that masking these shapes and spraying them looks like more hassle than painting them by hand, but whatever works for you is good. Xestobiax is supposed to have silver trim, I might paint half of this test plate silver and half gold to see which I like more but it will probably be silver. I find freehand difficult, fustrating and never get the results I want, so masking tape is less of a hassle for me :) I might be eating those words when I try to do a diamond pattern :D
  8. Finally picked a purple! And got a test armour plate painted up. I just need to stick with this purple and not get distracted by inks.
  9. It's all volunteer based so it just looks like no one is actively maintaining it now, either they don't have the time or the motivation anymore. Basically anyone can join and propose changes but really should start with small stuff as an introduction and work through it. I was thinking of putting work in to it but right now any spare time I have goes in to hobby time making an AT army. Data file development chat has moved from Gitter to discord for most stuff, you might get more of a response there but it looks like AT chat has been basically dead since April/March on discord as well.
  10. Messy work top photo Dispite the heat I managed to get a metalic layer down on the titans I want next. 1 Warbringer and 4 warhounds and nearly all of their weapons. I missed a volcano cannon for the warbringer and a Volkite, a lance and a claw for the warhounds :/ I'll get them done next time and hopefully get most of the airbrush metal work done so I can get details done on them and focus on the armour plates.
  11. I've gotten my knights to where I want them and it's time to move on to the titans. I'll come back to them when I'm going to gloss a few models and give them a pin wash but I have 4 warhounds and a warbringer to get through first :) I thought using a DSLR would give me better photos but it's pretty old now and really needs a good clean so some of these aren't as good as I would like, Knight 1 Knight 2 Knight 3 Knight 4 I have a few more pictures in an album here - https://imgur.com/a/v8Tv2NJ Also need to get the base rim painted black, and get two more bases painted up. Future work.
  12. I've finsihed my tilting shields and currently working on transfers for my lancers, 1 left to go now. Planning to basecoat some volkite weapons for warhounds once I'm happy with the knights and need to start work on a warbringer. I was hoping the white would just blend in on the bottom right shield but that was wishful thinking :) still so small it won't be noticed by anyone except me. One of the WIP knights
  13. Tester done for decals, I was thinking of replicating this with a little variation on another 2 and maybe do something different on the fourth. I'll let it sit for a day or so and see if I still like it. Once they're all done I'll varnish again and do an oil pin wash on the edge of the shield.
  14. Not a lot of progress for me, I've started on some warhounds and finally have the posed in way I'm happy with. I'll start painting them soon so my experiements with Purple for Xestobiax will begin. I did get some colour on my knight shield/icons (not sure what they're called) so I can get them finished and closed except for the bases, it's been a long time since I've had a model finished so I'm looking forward to it. I can see a not a couple of not very straight lines :) They're so small it won't matter once the decals go on. I'm planning on a small shield in the bottom half, from a transfer set from The Mighty Brush and some line from the Cerastus sheet or small symbol on the top.
  15. Today in Titanicus I... Am getting close to finishing a banner of Lancers. I need to sit down for a mistake pass to make sure there isn't something too bad, then a gloss coat for decals and another coat so I can start thinking about weathering. I feel I made a mistake with the orange where I should have painted it over more white. It's so thin the under shade comes through in some parts. I would have liked to have it brighter in some part. The orange strips on the leg of the second knight is one example. I'll focus on my preshaing a bit more for other knights and titans. Overall I like how these turned out and look forward to more knights. A pair of porphyrion will be the next ones. I've moved on to posing some warhound titans just so I can get them ready for a basecoat, I'm aiming to get at least two out of four done this month but it's good to have a slight change.
