Lord Janos

Still undecided on whether I like the pose, something seems a little off about it but I'm hoping its one of those models I prefer the look of in the flesh. Having said that it could be a mangled splodge with wings and I would still be buying this model. I imagine like many of you this is something that I have wished for so long (about 20 years in my case, which in itself is a bit of a sobering thought). In short I am a very happy Son of Sanguinius!

Hi all, In a fit of illness over the past few days I started putting together the Death Guard models I got with Dark Imperium, and I've been wondering where to go next with them. My current line of thinking was a Hellbrute (because I have a dreadnought problem), some Blightlord Terminators another squad of plague marines and a Plagueburst crawler, and maybe some sort of transport for the marines. Not had a chance to grab the codex yet so not particularly au fait with rules and any synergy etc. Been a Blood Angels player for donkeys years and it's my first foray into something else. Here's a couple of test minis, picture quality isn't great but that's what you get for taking pictures on your phone at about midnight! If anyone has any thoughts I look forward to hearing them!

Personally I love them, only managed to play 3 games of 8th so far and they have always performed solidly. Ive used both 2x units of 5 and 2x units of 10 and I much prefer the bigger unit size. Might sound obvious but it just means they can kick out more fire. Whilst by no means unkillable, camped in some cover they are quite hard to shift. They won't last long against a combat specific unit (a unit of meganobz tore through mine like paper) but all in all I really like playing them. Can't comment on points efficiency as all the games I've played have been power level.

He felt the ever-present thirst within him, calling out for blood, a thirst which could never be quenched. For a second he thought he saw a figure amongst the howling orks, a figure in power armour in a dull green, bearing a symbol of an all seeing eye. Again and again the power armoured warriors replaced the orks in his vision, and his mind was filled with an indignant need to tear the traitor sons of the fallen Warmaster apart with his bare hand. "Traitors..." He growled underneath his breath. "Captain?" Asked Vorenus, the company champion his hand resting on Janos's pauldron. The voice of his longtime companion cutting through the phantoms encroaching on his vision. "Send word for Chaplain Itarus immediately" Janos growled through gritted teeth, visibly shaking at the effort of maintaining a grasp on his failing psyche "And fetch serfs to annoint my armour in black and crimson, I go to join the company of Death..." That's my way of saying my vow will remain unfulfilled. A mix of work, other commitments, planning a wedding and illness have meant I have not been able to do as much painting as I would have liked. It has however got me painting a lot more than previously so it's not all bad news and I'm going to be try to complete it for a game I've got planned in a couple of weeks. *Shuffles off to prepare his signature to bare a mark of failure and shame*

My biggest hope it that we finally get access to contemptors and caterphractii/tartaros termies along with the rest of the stuff vanilla marines get. It's never made any sense to me why a first founding chapter wouldn't be able to take anything that the rest of them would. Also *insert obligatory new special character models would be nice statement here* Not that I think either will happen, and its not going to stop me lapping up any BA specific stuff :P

Read the preview for Devastation of Baal and did some more work on my vow for from Rage to Salvation. With the new codex announcement i can consider myself hyped.

Where did you upload them? If you uploaded them on the forum it's very likely it's not your internet but the forum server since they've extremely slow the past few days. Ah quite probably that then!

Finally managed to submit my initial vow for From Rage to Salvation. Even if my Throne forsaken internet meant it took about 8 attempts to upload the pictures.

I Lord Janos rise to the challenge of From Rage to Salvation and vow to complete 2 intercessor sqauds on or before November 30th, 2017. Should I bring honour to the Blood Angels Chapter I will proudly wear the IRATUS DOMINUS badge; should I fail I will display the CARCERES IRA on my chest as a reminder of my shame.
